Notions: markers, 3.5 mm [US4] crochet hook, tapestry needle, contrasting color waste yarn,
scissors.
Gauge: make a gauge swatch and count your stitches after washing and blocking! It might be
necessary to change needle size to achieve a matching gauge. If you knit tighter (have more
stitches), use thicker needles, if you knit more loosely (have fewer stitches), use thinner
needles. The main pattern is half fisherman's rib.
Approx. 16 sts and 38 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 in] in stockinette stitch on 5 mm [US8] needles
(after washing and blocking).
Different numbers for larger sizes are given within and after the parenthesis.

Order of work: Cozy vest is worked from the bottom up. First, the body is worked in the round.
Then, the back and front pieces are worked separately in back-and-forth rows. Next, the
shoulder seams are grafted, the neck edging and armholes are worked last.
Option 1:
With 4 [US6] mm circular needles, cast on 88 (96) 104 (112) 120 (128) 128 sts + 1 add st. Join in
