Dear Parents/Guardians,

Warm greetings!

I, Mylene I. Navarro, an EPP (Edukasyong Pangtahanan at Panghabuhayan) Teacher, am


writing to request your permission to allow your child to bring their mobile phone or tablet to
school for their EPP particularly for ICT lessons starting August 26, 2024, until the last week
of September (tentative – it depends on the learners’ performance).

I do understand that this might be a deviation from our usual policy, but I believe that this
temporary measure is necessary to enhance our students’ learning experience in Information
and Communications Technology (ICT). As the MATATAG curriculum outlines, ICT skills
are essential for today’s learners. Unfortunately, our school lacks the necessary computer
resources to implement the ICT component of the EPP subject fully.

To maximize the learning potential of this initiative, I kindly request your assistance in
creating an Outlook account for your child and downloading the following Microsoft Mobile
apps:

1. Microsoft Word 2. Microsoft Excel 3. Microsoft PowerPoint

I assure you that we will closely monitor the use of mobile phones in the classroom and
ensure that it is used solely for educational purposes. We also commit to teaching our
students how to use their gadgets productively and responsibly.

Your cooperation in this matter is highly appreciated. We believe this temporary measure will
significantly contribute to the holistic development of your child.
