significance in the workplace, not any, also successful leaders and public figures are known for
their exceptional communication abilities, which have played a key role in their achievements

skills.
The same work has the following structure: Introduction, Development, Conclusion and
Bibliography.
2. Summary
Question: 1 How might knowing the various components of communication process help
you in your academic life, professional life and civil life?
Question 2:
In the transactional model of communication, communication is seen as a dynamic and
continuous process where both the sender and receiver simultaneously send and receive
messages. Let's analyse a common communication scenario that I had recently, using this
model:
One day two friends, Sarah and Alex, where having a conversation about their weekend plans:
-Sender (Sarah): Sarah initiates the conversation by saying, "Hey Alex, do you want to
go hiking this weekend?"
- Receiver (Alex): Alex receives the message and responds, "Sure, that sounds great!
What time should we meet?"
- Feedback (Sarah): Sarah then provides feedback by replying, "Let's meet at 9 am at the
hiking trail parking lot."
- Noise: During the conversation, noise can occur, like distractions in the environment or
misunderstandings in the messages, which may affect the communication process.
- Context: The context of the conversation, such as their friendship, shared interest in
hiking, and the upcoming weekend, influences how the messages are interpreted.
In this scenario, Sarah and Alex engage in a two-way communication process where they
both send and receive messages, adjusting their responses based on the feedback
received. This interactive nature of communication exemplifies the transactional model,
highlighting the complexity and fluidity of everyday interactions.
Question 3:
a) Situation where I wished I could reverse the communication: I yelled to my best
friend and I told him that I had made a mistake by being his friend.
b) Situation where I wished I could repeat the communication: I was invited to
introduce myself to my co-workers in my first day of a job. I wasn’t prepared
therefore I and up saying something that I didn’t mean. After the speech I wished I
could repeat the speech in order to improve however there were no chance, the
moment was unique.
The lesson that can be learned from these two situations is that we need to carefully
think and analyse our thought before we speak. We must have critical thinking toward
our ideas and make sure that the expressions we will use are appropriate to the
situation otherwise we will be misunderstood or might not be taken seriously or we
might even provoke the listener of our massage while that was not the aim.
Concluding, for the next time, we need to think critically before speaking.
Question 4:
Phatic communication refers to the type of communication that is used to establish or
maintain social relationships rather than to exchange information or ideas.
The type of phatic Communication that I engage in is Politeness Formulas: Phrases like
"please," "thank you," and "excuse me" that are used to maintain social norms and show
respect in interactions.
.
Question 5: Of course there is a person that I think he possesses a higher level of
communication and there are three main reasons behind my opinion:
First of all, he has an excellent domain of vocabulary and grammatical rules;
Second, he has perfect rhetoric ability. The ability to persuade and make people agree
easily to his ideas.
Moreover, he is absolutely synthetic and concise in his speeches. Sometimes I wonder if
could have that level of communication however I somehow fill that I still have to
practice more and more.
And lastly he has no fear of speaking face to face even if he is in mass communication he
still being able to communicate naturally. So, all these skills make him a great
communicator and leave people satisfied whenever he delivers some information.
