McCarthy first used the term "artificial intelligence." Pioneers like Marvin Minsky, Allen
Newell, and Herbert A. Simon wanted to create machines that could think like humans,
which laid the foundation for today's AI. AI also helps with global sustainability and
supports the UN’s 2030 agenda for a better world. However, it comes with challenges like
ethical issues, data biases, and regulation concerns, making it important to find a balance
between its benefits and its impact on society.
