4. Further, the DolI has also made following observations while conveying their
approval:
i. IRecently, M/oI{&FW vide O.M. dated 2g.05.2024 has approve<l the proposal
for extension of CGHS facilities to all the serving and retired employees oi KVS in
all CGI-{S covered cities. This is on cost to cost basis (presently Rs. 15368/- per
family per annum) The employees and retirees of KVS pay a subscription to avail
CGI-IS benefit. 'fhe cost gap is to be borne by KVS from its internal rejources.
ii. The case oJ KVS employees is unique in that there has been a partial roll-out
of GGI{S in KVS. The present proposal is only to expand the coveiage. ABs who
have not been extended CGI{S facility in the past cannot hold thG case as a
precedent.
iii. It is understood that at present rates, KVS would be able to fun6 for CGHS
facility of all its employees & retirees, after considering contribution from
employees & retirees, through its internal accrual. In case de rates of CGHS are
increased leading to arr increased load, KVS will considbr increasing the
subscription rates of employeps & retirees. 'l'he financial load or anv part thercof

balance between core chilct welfare activities of KVS and [rovisioning emptoy.""i
benefits. 'lhese guidelines may be submittecl to the Goveining []oarf of IflS fcrr
