1. All houses along the railway line were knocked down and replaced by skyscrapers.

The north of the town experienced dramatic changes. The construction of complexity of new facilities,
including swimming pool, hotel and tennis court replaced the farmland in the northeast.
Moreover, on the right of the high street, a chain of shopping stores were pulled down to make way for
apartments. There was also a golf course that stayed unchanged in the northwest-most of the town.
The erection of many constructions was witnessed in the south of the place. There was a fish market
which was opposite the farmland in 1967, but it was converted into private beach in 2001. Besides, public
beach emerged along the sea, where the Marina Pier was located 34 years ago.
