And that’s the sad backstory of the chameleon, it may seem a bit long but I think

something like this is necessary because we’ve already seen 3 movies about Po, and
it’s about time we change things up and start developing new characters because how
much can you really develop the same character until it becomes repetitive? 4
times, that’s how much.

Alright on to the next target, zhen, first of all props to the designers for
making such a unique character design, and what makes this design so much more
unique and different from the other kung fu panda character designs is, it sucks
(ohhhhhhh meme, and add a roast counter, the roast counter increases every time he
says a roast) Now usually people complain about the voice actress or the character
design, but I think I can go deeper into what went wrong. Not just with her but
with the entire set up of the good guys, because removing the furious five creates
some really big shoes to fill, and those shoes were definitely not filled, and same
as before even if you liked her you won’t anymore after seeing the potential they
had. So I got another masterpiece up my sleeve to fill those shoes, Possibly even
making it better than if the movie had the furious five themselves! And don’t worry
you’ll still get all the cringy jokes between Po and zhen. But first Let's start
off by looking at some of zhen’s key character personality traits (make a list and
then put what he says on the list) (pause) she steals shit. That’s pretty much it.
The level of character depth in her, is like the depth of a kiddie pool, It’s like
If I asked a 9 year old to design a character, (young child's voice “ok so I have
this character who likes to steal stuff, but stealing is wrong just like my mommy
taught me” normal voice “ok not a bad start, why does your character like stealing
stuff?” child's voice “ummmm, wellll, you know, just because” Normal “uh ok, what
happens to this character at the end?” Child “well she stops stealing and becomes a
good guy after hanging out with the dragon warrior!” Normal “So just talking to one
person for a few days completely changed the character’s entire personality?” Child
“Yep!”) see what I mean?

So stealing just because she grew up in a rough neighborhood and saw someone who
taught her how to steal is pretty bland, I mean, it’s not terrible like the
chameleon but it’s more of a mid filler character there for comedic purposes,
definitely not enough to replace the furious five, so before I fix her reason for
becoming good, which is by the way so much better than what actually happened. I’m
gonna make a new character (new foe has appeared meme) Jeje, so I’m going to take
away the kiddy aspect to zhen and give it to jeje, and zhen can be like an older
teen or an adult. Now JeJe is a cute little kid who is a big fan of the dragon
warrior and wants to learn kung fu, he tags along with Po and zhen on their journey
and gets kung fu lessons from po and it’s like a dream come true for him, po also
teaches him how to use oogway’s staff. This character is essential for two reasons,
one, to help Po’s character arc because yes it’s supposed to be him becoming the
spiritual leader of the valley of peace but we never see any mention of that
throughout the movie, other than some corny jokes. It’s like a good writer started
working on the film and was like (different voice “ya know what, screw this, I’m
going to the bahamas”) and never came back and a bunch of amateurs were made to
continue it, so having a kid like Jeje would follow through with that great idea of
po’s next challenge, and po would also give him life lessons along the way that he
learned in the previous films, like how you should be the best you you can be, how
to find inner peace, and of course the infamous “I’m not trying to turn you into me
I’m trying to turn you into you” and last but best, the most beautiful part of
their relationship, will be that Po tries to train Jeje, but Jeje often gets
distracted by something like toys or whatever, and Po does the same thing shi fu
did to him, finding a new creative way to train him unlike normal training (I
cannot train you like I have trained the 5, and show scenes of him training) It
would be something like shi fu’s drills but instead of food, it’s toys, or whatever
Jeje is interested in. This would truly be amazing to see Po pass on the tradition,
and really show that the student has become the master. (excited tone for this) And
now for the second reason for this child JeJe, the much crazier, better, mind
blowing, and honestly my favorite part of this entire re-write so far! (laughs) It
issssss………
Ya know what? Why don’t I leave this part for the final chapter About alternate
endings, trust me, It’s not just for retention there’s a good reason as to why it
would be so much cooler to hear after you watch the full thin- TAKE YOUR HAND OF
THE TIMELINE! I CAN SEE YOU TRYING TO SKIP TO THE FINAL CHAPTER! I said it’ll be
more impactful when you watch the whole video! Anyway

Now back to zhen, so like I mentioned before they cut a corner with her redemption.
Now usually it takes a lot more than just a conversation to change your entire
personality, also this lacks an actual message for the kids watching, so here’s my
version.

So throughout the movie zhen keeps stealthily stealing things from people
without Po noticing, just like some of the stealing jokes we see throughout the
film. After po is gone after she betrays him, she walks out and sells all the stuff
she stole, and makes some BAG! She gets super excited over all the money she stole
and feels really proud of herself. She walks out the pawn shop or whatever is the
kung fu panda version of that, and she walks up to a shiny looking store with a
bunch of cool things she’s gonna buy with the money she made, like yummy snacks,
cool outfits, etc. her eye’s light up like a typical cartoon character, (start
talking seriously again) as she is about to walk in she hears a noise from behind,
it’s a child crying to his mother (different crying child's voice “Mommy my
favorite toy car is missing”) as the child continues to and the mother hugs and
comforts him, zhen is no longer very excited by looking at all the cool things in
the store, she slowly starts to walk away from the store not knowing what to do,
and while she’s walking, she sees a landlord talking to his tenant (manly landlord
voice “rent is due buddy, where is it?” Scared and shy tennent “Huh? What? I just
kept it all right here under my mat! But it’s all gone now. I Don’t know what
happened!” Landlord “(scoffs) You think I was born yesterday? I’ve heard this story
a thousand times before” tennent “NO I swear I’m not lying, I worked very hard to
make that money someone must have stolen it!” Landlord “well get the money to me by
tomorrow or you’ll be living on the streets!”) zhen looks even more disappointed
after seeing much more of this, she is slowly starting to regret her decisions. The
thing about stealing is that it may be really fun for some people, but we as humans
often feel like the main character and forget that other people have a
consciousness and feelings too, and the stuff we steal, doesn’t just come out of
nowhere, it’s taken from someone, (make it written like a poem) every ounce of
happiness or dopamine you get from a successful steal, is happiness and dopamine
taken from your victim. The bigger stuff you steal the more happy you feel, and the
amount of happiness you feel from the steal, is the same amount of sadness your
victim feels. That’s once again an important lesson to teach children. It’s more
impactful than “oh don’t steal because it’s wrong” or “don’t steal or you’ll go to
jail” So now zhen has an important decision to make, as she stands in the middle of
the store, and the crying child with the sad tennet, she looks at the store with
all the delicious food and shiny things, and the tears of the tennent and the
child, she keeps looking back and forth between the victims, and the store and
starts sweating as she is making this life changing decision, then, she has a
flashback of all the times Po taught her about being a good person, and how nice
and innocent Po is, and all the inspirational stuff through the movie, when the
flashback ends, she is no longer sweating, and looks like she’s made a clear
decision, she deeply exhales, and walks into the store. As the audience is
disappointed in her decision to continue down the path of evil, she uses all her
money to buy all the cool stuff in the store and gives it to all her victims, how
wholesome. The greatest part about this is that when she gives all the cool stuff
to them, including the crying child, she gets a warm fuzzy feeling, and it feels
much better than the dopamine rush from stealing, just like master oogway said: The
more you take the less you have clip this is once again true in real life because
it really does feel good to give and be generous to people, you people watching at
home should try it out sometime! So now she felt bad about betraying Po, because
she’s good now, and now it makes sense that she turns on the chameleon and goes
and helps him. And that, is the story of zhen. But of course, the previous kung fu
panda films had a great balance between brainless humor for the kids and deep
messages for the adults, so obviously I can't break that tradition in this rewrite,
which leads me to the next characters, the dads!
