ILLIDAD

The Greek army, led by Agamemnon, besieges Troy to retrieve Helen, the wife of Menelaus, who was abducted by Paris,
a prince of Troy.

Achilles, the greatest Greek warrior, becomes enraged when Agamemnon takes his war prize, Briseis, and refuses to fight.

Despite Achilles' absence, the Greeks and Trojans engage in fierce battles, with heroes like Odysseus, Ajax, and Diomedes
fighting for the Greeks, and Hector leading the Trojans.

The gods intervene in the war, often exacerbating the conflict between the Greeks and Trojans.

After Patroclus, Achilles' friend, is killed by Hector, Achilles rejoins the fight and kills Hector in a duel. f. The story concludes
with the funeral rites of Hector, and Achilles grappling with grief and the knowledge of his impending death.
