Features & benefits

• Temperature Monitoring: ReconiSense TC utilises the integration between the
CrossFlow arthroscopy pump and the CrossFire 2 resection console to determine the
temperature state of the joint space 95% accurate within +/-4.63°C1.
• Temperature Mitigation: When the CrossFlow recognises the temperature state of the
joint is increasing, it will increase suction and flow rates to turn over fluid in the joint
faster2.
ReconiSense TC technology
Through RFID technology, the CrossFlow is designed to integrate with
Stryker cutters, burs, and SERFAS Energy probes to provide more consistent
visualisation to debride bone and soft tissue.

Both the CrossFire 2 and CrossFlow

can be enabled through one
integrated foot pedal or hand
controls.

Temperature Control Technology

ReconiSense TC can monitor total
joint temperature and mitigate joint
temperature through the CrossFlow
Pump. Green: The joint space is a safe
temperature and no mitigation is
necessary.

Yellow: The CrossFlow’s suction is

increased to turn over the fluid in the
join faster. This state is well within
safe operating conditions.

Red: The software will shut off the

power to the RF probe, to prevent
dangerous condition, until fluid
temperatures in the joint are lowered.

Formula Shaver Handpieces

The Formula 180 allows for simultaneous

control of buttons and suction.

The Formula Shaver handpiece allows

suction control and complements surgeons
using foot control.

The Formula Shaver handpiece provides a

second option for button placement while
allowing the ability to control the buttons
and suction simultaneously.

The Small Joint Shaver allows for access into

tighter areas and is operated by foot control.

CrossBlade Series Cutters

CrossBlade series cutters are designed to maximise cutting performance through:

• Laser cutting the inner housing to produce sharper edges to aid with cut speed and control
• A priopriatery case hardening treatment that is designed be more resistant to flaking and stay sharper
longer.4
• Opposing sheer angles designed to increase soft tissue cutting efficiency and reduce tissue wrapping.5
• Optimising the size of cutter window size, shape, and tooth geometry to increase resistance to
clogging.6

Console Customiser App
Stryker’s Console Customiser App allows the user to work directly with
their Stryker Sales Representative to create surgeon profiles containing
individualised pump, shaver and RF probe settings directly from their iPad.
The application can customise CrossFlow and CrossFire 2 settings including:
joint pressure/flow, shaver and RF settings, onscreen displays, and footswitch/
hand control settings for surgeon profiles. This enables the nursing staff to
select preferred settings for each user at the touch of a button on the CrossFlow
Arthroscopy Pump.
