The book of Genesis in the Bible documents that "God created the heavens and the earth. But the earth was
without form and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Then
God said, "let there be light", and so there was, the light." In this ceremony, it is deemed proper to welcome the presence of
the Holy Spirit by lighting up of the ceremony candles by Mr. & Mrs. Ronilo Tabamo.

Host: The Biblical account of Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden gives us a proof
that God Almighty has instituted marriage for a purpose. God designed every
creation not to be alone; the birds in the air, the beasts in the field, the fishes in the
sea and most of all He said, "It is not good for man to be alone." It is because of
this divine agenda of God for humanity that we are here this morning to serve as
witnesses of the unfolding of this plan for His children. May I request therefore the
congregation to please rise and let us all witness the grandeur of her entrance, the
woman for this day, Miss SARAH JEAN LANITON DESOLOC.

III. MATRIMONIAL CEREMONY

Minister's Charge to the Parents: Who gives this woman in marriage?
(The Bride's Parents will stand & say, "We do!")
Minister's Charge to the Congregation: Dearly beloved, friends and relatives of
the Bride and the Groom; we are here in the sight of God and in the faces of these
witnesses to have this marriage blessing for Sarah Jean & Ray Mart.
Marriage is an institution of divine appointment and is commended as honorable
among all men. It is a very important step in life and should not therefore be
entered unadvisedly or lightly, but discreetly and soberly.
In this estate, these two persons come now to be joined. If any man present can
show cause why they may not be lawfully joined together, let him now speak or
else hereafter forever hold his peace.
Minister's Prayer: Our heavenly Father, bless these persons as they come before
family, friends and in this place to affirm the choices they have made for each
other as life's mate. Grant them the seriousness of purpose that they may be
delivered from empty words and casual commitment, in Jesus' name.

21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept
God took one of his ribs and closed its place with flesh.

and brought her to the man.
23 Then the man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she
shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."
24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife,
and they shall become one.

the covenants of this couple. Additionally, Sarah Jean & Ray Mart, will surely
need your counsel, guidance and encouragement. Your advance experience in a
married life will help them to continue travel on the journey of a married life. As
witnesses, are you willing to partner with them to become more faithful in their

Groom: Sarah Jean, I have taken you as my wedded wife, to live together in the
holy estate of Matrimony. I solemnly pledge my love and fidelity to you. I love you,
honor you, and keep you in sickness and in health; in abundance and in lack and I

anointing and blessing, to make this oneness irrevocable in mutual dedication,
sacrifice and responsibility. May you pour out your abundant blessings and help
them carry out the duties of marriage.

Sarah Jean & Ray Mart physically, mentally, socially, and financially

Officiating Minister: May we have now the Veil and the Cord Ceremony.

Officiating Minister: The veil on the head of Sarah Jean and on the shoulder of
Ray Mart, symbolizes that the woman comes under the covering of the man,
which signifies the order that God created "husbands in authority over their wives."
With this, Ray Mart, will be responsible for the direction for their lives and the
family with God's guidance and protection. Sarah Jean in return, will submit and
support Ray Mart. Thus, also signifies the union of them both in conjugal.
Officiating Minister: The Cord symbolizes the Yoke of Matrimony; the bond of
commitment where Sarah Jean & Ray Mart have one for another. This Cord is
also like their wedding rings; it has a symbol of eternal thing which providence
brought them eternal love.

RING CEREMONY
Officiating Minister: The wedding rings represent the joining of Sarah Jean &
Ray Mart. As a circle, the ring has no beginning and no end. This eternal quality is
used to express God, of whose eternal love, this marriage is a part.
Prayer: Bless oh Lord these rings, which they who give them and wear them may
live in peace and continue in your favor all the days of their lives.
Groom: (while inserting the ring to the ring finger of the bride) Sarah Jean , you
will soon be my companion for life, my love and my best friend. I give you this ring

Officiating Minister: These coins symbolize God's blessings for material
possessions. These are the means for furthering life but not an end in themselves.
Use them to attain the fullness of life through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
Groom: (receiving the coins and while placing it to the hands of the Bride) Sarah
Jean, as a channel of God's blessings, receive this treasure for the sustenance of
our living together physically and materially. This is a fitting sign; a result of my
toils and labors intended for our family, in Jesus' name, Amen!
Bride: (while receiving the coins) Ray Mart, as a treasure keeper in our family, I
receive this, as a fruit of your labor. I promise to be a good steward of these
blessings entrusted to us by God to sustain our living together as a family with our
incoming children physically and materially, in Jesus' name, Amen!
Bible Ceremony
Officiating Minister: The Bible is the comprehensive equipment of the man of
God and fit him fully in all branches of his work. Let this Bible be the lamp unto
your feet and the light unto your path. Take heed of the word of God and the Lord
will show you the path of life.
Sarah Jean & Ray Mart: (while receiving the Bible) We receive oh Lord Your
Word which may serve as the lamp unto our feet and the light unto our paths as
we start living together; taking heed of your teachings and admonitions as
husband and wife. We acknowledge You as the center of this union when we start
taking responsibilities in a married life and your Word as our inspiring guide in our
whole life through,

Officiating Minister: Reveal to this new couple oh God, the power and the
mystery of your Words. Grasp them by the truth that makes them free. May the
sufferings, the joys, and the promises of Jesus Christ our Lord find fulfillment in
their lives. This we pray, in Jesus' name, Amen!

Prayer of the Bride & the Groom:

Almighty God, guide us, as we start to strive to fulfill our marriage vows. Grant us
oh Lord to be one heart and one soul, to have and to hold from this day forward for
better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health 'til death do us
part. We put ourselves into your hands oh Lord, as husband and wife while
sharing the real meaning of life. With all here present, may your unending love
protect us including our children from this day forward in Jesus' name, amen!
Prayer of the Officiating Minister: Father, do not let this ceremony simply be
mere words. Do not allow this act simply a way by which our friends may
participate this wedding service. In the days of uncertainties in the future, may
these acts serve them as reminders of the promises pronounced herein. Through
your Holy Spirit, bring them up to a firm commitment and live together in love, in
Jesus' name, Amen!
Officiating Minister: In honor of the law instituted by God in marriage, let us

under the Pentecostal Church of God Asian Missions, Inc., according to the ordinance of
God Almighty and the Law prescribed in the Republic of the Philippines, I hereby and now
bless and consecrate you, as husband and wife.
Officiating Minister: You may now face the congregation and seal your vows and
commitment with a kiss. (You may now kiss your wife).
