This analysis is based on remote sensing of high-resolution satellite imagery acquired on May 7, May 18, June 3 and June 6 2024. Image comparison was utilised to detect

proportion of land covered by tents was estimated using visual inspection. This area was then divided by the average tent size to obtain the number of visibly tented and
makeshift sites, which was multiplied by the average number of persons per tent. Reports from the field were utilised for both tent size and persons per tent. See
methodology section in page 3 for more details.
