Research Problem
Considering the multifaceted dynamics of healthcare delivery and the numerous decisions
that must be taken, sometimes under difficult settings, having exact, trustworthy, and fast data is
critical. Electronic health records (HER) are more flexible and scalable than paper-based
records. The necessity for efficient and effective health data system administration is defined by
the State health Department. Healthcare practice that is incredibly sophisticated, responsive,
structured, and knowledge-intensive. Healthcare practitioners must continually collaborate in
these time-critical, sophisticated, and geographically dispersed work contexts to ensure that
ailing and hospitalized patients are treated. Collaboration among the healthcare players
participating in these diffuse clinical occupational settings necessitates a great deal of
cooperation. To make this collaboration faster and more efficient, protocols and standards tightly
oversee clinical work. It is supported by a variety of modalities, including paper-based entries,
that are employed by numerous healthcare actors for various purposes. Such approaches are
material and social aspects of the profession, not independent artifacts.
Multiple steps have been implemented by the government throughout the decades to
augment the quality of medical services. Regrettably, considering the lack of consistent and
comprehensive data, these strategies have not achieved the desired outcomes. On the other
extreme, quality of healthcare in most developed economies is changing. They accomplish so by
incorporating a variety of health information technologies, such as electronic medical records,
automated order input by doctors, and clinical decision-making processes. As a result, the aim of
this study is to explore the ramifications of EHR and how they enhance quality of care.
The Scope
This research will only involve certified nurses from a dozen hospitals across the U. S. that
utilize EHR. This is due to the fact that they are the personnel that provide immediate care
services to the patient while utilizing the EHR. They may be able to help to guaranteeing the
quality of treatment in health facilities if they are familiar with the usage of EHR. Besides, the
survey questionnaire will only ask a series of questions that have been authorized by the
professor.
Significance of the problem
This study may be valuable to a number of organizations in federal government and medical
health, including the department of health, healthcare institutions, healthcare practitioners, and
academic researchers. For the federal authorities, this research can serve as a springboard for
health-care authorities to rethink regulations around the use of electronic health records.
Importantly, this will facilitate in the deployment and conformance with the usage of EHR
throughout the whole healthcare delivery system. Moreover, the research may apprise registered
nurses on the necessity of using electronic health records. As a result, not only will the quality of
treatment be ensured, but performance and provision of services will also be changed for the
better. Additionally, this study may empower researchers in developing concepts that can aid in
understanding the influence of EHR among nurses on quality treatment. As a result, researchers
will have access to research publications and other scholarly materials on the implications of
EHR on treatment outcomes from this standpoints.
Research question
This study will address the following research question: what is the usage of EHR in the selected
hospitals? And, in the selected hospitals, how does EHR enhance the quality of treatment
provided to patients by the nurses?.

Variables
In this study, the independent factors are competent nurses, hospitals, and patients In addition,
professional development, facility scale, and educational situation are all expected to impact
treatment experience as potential dependent variables.
