Gasela Traders offer services for the repair of motor vehicles.


REQUIRED:

8 Paid by EFT no. 403 for R150 to Prestige Stationers for stationery purchased.
12 Services rendered for cash, R18 000.
15 Received a loan from First National Bank for R50 000.
19 Purchased a vehicle from Hassen Garage and paid by EFT, R180 000.
Cash for wages, R4 500.
23 Cash for R12 000 was drawn by the owner, Khwezi Gasela, for personal use.
25 Received a direct deposit from Super Nails for rent for the month, R8 500.

Show the effect of the transactions below on the accounting equation by completing the
table below.

TRANSACTIONS:

1. Example: The owner Marble Mall deposited R500 000 into the bank account.

2. Received R1 500 from a tenant, Gill Michaels.

3. Paid via EFT no.12 for packing material purchased R 5000


4. Paid R20 000 for equipment purchased.

5. Sold goods of R6 200 for cash. Cost price: R3 200.

QUESTION 4 TRIAL BALANCE (15)

4.1 Study the information below and answer the following questions.
Information
The bookkeeper of Top Stores has not compiled a trial balance as yet. He
tried to compile the trial balance, but it does not balance.

4.1.1 Study the incorrect trial balance above and compile the correct trial balance of Top
Stores on 31 August 31 August 2022.
