Soft Skill for Professional Excellence

1. Motivation: A person’s motivation is a combination of his/her desire and

energy directed towards achieving a set goal. It infuses willingness for
action. Influencing someone’s motivation means getting to do what you

handle certain social situations. Effective interpersonal skills can help a
person during the job interview process, and can have a positive impact on
their career advancement.
Examples: Active listening, Teamwork, Responsibility
Dependability, Leadership, Motivation, Flexibility, Patience, Empathy.

3. Problem- solving Skill: Problem solving is the act of defining a problem,

determining the cause of the problem, identifying, prioritizing, and selecting
alternatives for a solution; and implementing a solution.
Steps involved in problem-solving:
Step 1: Identify, or find the problem
Step2: Explore, or define the problem
Step3: Set goals
Step 4: Look at alternatives
Step 5: Select the best solution
Step 6: Implement the solution
Step 7: Evaluate the solution
