    Learning Feedback Diary

    September 28, 2024

    Today is the first day of our community duty. The ready-to-serve phrase is
    about to happen. Our place of community duty is Barangay Umilag, one of
    the barangay in Lamut,Ifugao. Before we started our survey, Maam Eva
    proceeds to the Barangay Hall to get the documents we needed before we
    will be distributed. The barangay has 7 sitios and we choose to have the 4
    sitios. As the leader of my group, I have to ensure their safety and welfare.
    They had their interview while I am orienting them about the place. I
    accompanied them the whole time as they began their survey. I did not had
    the chance to make my own survey for I had to be with them. The family
    health survey was a truly eye-opening experience for me. It wasn't just
    about collecting data, it was about connecting with people in our community
    and understanding their health needs first hand. Hearing their stories, their
    concerns, and their hopes for the future made me realize how much we can
    learn from each other. I was surprised by some of the health challenges
    prevalent in our community, and it made me realize how important it is to
    have access to quality healthcare. The survey also helped me develop my
    communication and data collection skills, which I know will be valuable in
    future community engagement efforts. While we did a good job, I think we
    could have improved the survey design to gather even more detailed
    information, and we could have done a better job of reaching out to a wider
    range of community members. We had fun navigating the place, we walked
    through the corn plantation, we receive vegetables from the people, we had
    so much fun talking with them and the people there are very
    accommodating. Overall, this experience was incredibly rewarding, and I'm
    excited to continue learning and contributing to the health and well-being of
    our community. We are looking forward to the success of this Family Health
    Survey and we can not wait to be back there too. Until next Community Duty
    again!
