grateful to my colleagues and my supervisor for supporting me during the making period of this

guidance for the completion of this report in the scheduled time.
Then I would like to thanks my Supervisor Ms. Nilufar Sultana (Assistant Professor, Department of
Business Administration, Premier University Chittagong) for her support. She gave me her valuable
guideline which helped me to complete this report.
I would also thanks to Mr. Mohammad Yakub sir (Branch Manager) of Shindurpur Branch and
Mr. Sahidul Islam (Manager Operation) who helped me a lot to explore my banking knowledge.
I would also thank all my colleagues who cooperated with me.
And also special thanks to Mr. Mohammad Farruk Azam (Assistant officer & Credit In-Charge)
of Credit Division of our Branch for providing me valuable information about all the procedure
of Credit Activities.
Executive Summery
Bank plays a vital role in the socio economic matters of a country. The tremendous growth that
the world economy has experienced is contributed by these financial institutions. Private Banks
also play a vital role in promoting and accelerating the economic development process as per
the demand of time through the implementation of finance for industrial and agricultural
projects, domestic and foreign trade and allocating the fund to various projects.
At the same time banking process is becoming faster, easier and wider. In order to survive in the
competitive field of the banking sector all organizations are looking for better service
opportunities to provide their fellow clients. So it has become essential for every person to have
some idea on the bank and banking procedure. Internship program which can also be called
work attachment program is essential for completing MBA program it helps a student to initiate
with the real case scenario. I chose Global Islami Bank, Shindurpur Branch for completing my
internship program as I have already been serving the bank. This branch performs these banking
activities like, General Banking and Investment. As a result, one can easily gain knowledge of
both simple and complicated banking operations from the activities of this branch. So I choose
“Investment Process in SME sector of Global Islami Bank PLC.” This study is the output of my
practical experience which I gathered during my service period.
This report is separated in different chapters. The first chapter contains introduction, objectives,
scope and methodology, limitations and structure of the report. The second chapter contains
the Theoretical Background of the Report. In this third chapter, the appraisal of Investment
Management Systems of Global Islami Bank PLC. is described deeply. The fourth chapter
contains findings. The fifth chapter contains Problems and Solutions. And the last chapter
contains the conclusion of the report.
