G.S.R.08 .-Whereas the draft of the Rajasthan Excise (Amendment) Rules, 2024,
amending the Rajasthan Excise Rules, 1956, in exercise of the powers conferred by section
41of the Rajasthan Excise Act, 1950(Act No. II of 1950), was published as required by sub-
section (3) of section 41 of the said Act, in the Rajasthan Gazette Extraordinary part 4(C)
G.S.R. 195dated 13.03.2024 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be
affected thereby before the expiry of 10 days from the date on which the copies of the said
notification as published in Rajasthan Gazette were made available to the public;
And whereas, copies of the said notification were made available to the public on
13.03.2024;
And whereas, no objection & suggestion received on the said Draft Rules.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 41 of the Rajasthan


Excise Act, 1950(Act No. II of 1950), the State Government hereby makes the following
rules further to amend the Rajasthan Excise Rules, 1956, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Rajasthan
Excise (Amendment) Rules, 2024.
(2) They shall come into force from 01st April, 2024.
2. Amendment of rule 69B.- In rule 69B of the Rajasthan Excise Rules, 1956, after
the existing clause (d), the following new clause (e) shall be added, namely:-
"(e) every wholesale licensee of hemp shall pay permit fee of Re. 1.00 per kilogram for the
transportation of hemp."
