1. How to install Checkpoint VPN client

We can download the VPN client from the Checkpoint web site:
https://www.checkpoint.com/products/remote-access-vpn/

Once we have it in our computer, we can start the installation.

Double click in the file:

Follow the next steps marked in red color:

2. Configure a new site

We have to create each site (Checkpoint Firewall) that we want to connect. Once the client is
installed, we will be able to configure it:

The wizard will try to detect the sites automatically. Click on Yes and Next:

When it finish, we will configure it manually.

We have to write the Firewall’s IP that we want to connect:

The wizard will try to connect to the Firewall:

*Important: It is necessary to be connected to Gestamp network (Gestamp token) in order


to Checkpoint client can connect to the Firewalls.

In the next window, click on Trust and Continue:

Click on Username and Password to log in the Firewalls with this method:

Click on Yes to connect to the new site:

Fill up the Username and Password that is provided by Communications team (if you don’t
have any one, please contact to them).

Click on Connect:

The status should be Connected:

Ones we want end the session, go to VPN > Disconnect > Yes:

3. Creating more sites
Ones we have installed the client, If we want to create a new site, we have to go to VPN
Options > New:

Then the Site Wizard will appears and we will have to configure the site as we did in the
point “2. Configure a new site” of this guide:

4. Disable the option Always-Connect

There is an option called “ALWAYS CONNECT”.

We recommend to disable this option because if it is enabled, the client will connect
automatically and we don’t have it.

Go to Properties and disable the checkbox :
