Section B: Internal choice has been provided in one question of 2 marks each and
one question of four marks.
Section C: Internal choice has been provided in one question of 2 marks each and
one question of four marks.

others and supervision added to two times the number of awardees for honesty is 33. If the sum of the
awardees for honesty and supervision is twice the number of awardees for helping others, using Matrix
method, find the number of awardees of each category.

Case Study:
A fighter-jet of the enemy is flying along a parabolic path 𝟒𝐲 = 𝐱 𝟐. A soldier is located at the point (0, 5)
and is aiming to shoot down the jet when it is nearest to him.

Based on the above information, answer the following:

(i) Let (x, y) be the position of the jet at any instant. Express the distance between the soldier and
the jet as a function f(x).
