ABSTRACT

Summarize the main points of the report on this page. Persons getting interested
in the report after reading the title should be able to judge from the abstract whether
the report is really interesting for them. So, briefly formulate the problem that has
been investigated and how you went about your project, the solutions that your
project would give , what you learned, and what you concluded. It is a well-
developed paragraph and should be exact in wording. It must be understandable to
a wide audience. The abstract should not occupy more than one page (about 250
words).

When you will start writing your chapters strictly follow


the below points:-

Alignment should be justified for all text. Line
Spacing throught the report - 1.5
between running text.
2 between two paragraphs.
2 between title and text.
Any chapter must not be finished in just two pages.
About the Index Page
Students are required to maintain the following sequence
of contents in the respective order and in the same font
and Time new roman style as typed below i.e. Times New
Roman [size=16] for main heading and Times New
Roman [size=14] for sub headings for the index page

In first 6 pages roman numbering and a transparent plastic

above the page is to be inserted and then onwards digital

numbering from 1 must be done. The below will be the

structure of your index page. Students must strictly read

Dos and Don’ts given on website before writing this report.

Chapter-1 Introduction

that would be developed also justify that how your project will be better then
existing solutions of the market.)

Chapter-2 Literature Survey

2.1 Methodology will include the steps to be followed to achieve the objective of the
project during the project development in this also include the description of all
Conceptual Requirements(Terms, Concepts, Algorithm if any) that any body will
need for understanding your project for example What is a Web service? ,
Requirements for a Web Service etc.
2.2 Existing Solutions (Clearly describe all the solutions that are existing in the market
in a detail manner paragraph wise that cover your problem definition exactly or
partially it may be study of websites that may be related to your project or any other
studies. It should be as exhaustive as possible but related to your work.. Summarize
the literature that you have read. Rather than literally copying the texts that you have
read, you should present your own interpretation of the theory. The last part of this
section must contain a brief mention of the gaps in the literature and a justification
for undertaking your study/project. For example If you are preparing a website in
this section give description of at least five related websites that you visited what
functionalities were included in them ,what were their advantages ,their drawbacks,
what is the difference between your work and their work (gap) all in detail .)

Chapter-3 Analysis
3.1 Software Requirements
Software requirements of your project must be explained in detail and clearly
specify the reasons behind your requirements. Technologies and Tools used with
a very short description and justification of using them.
3.2 Hardware Requirements
Hardware requirements of your project must be explained in detail and clearly
specify the reasons behind your requirements.

3.3 Analysis Diagrams


3.3.1 Use Case Model
3.3.2 Use Case Description( Use only the format of Rational Modules that you
have studied in OOAD course any other formats are not acceptable)
Use case description of each use case in the use case model must be there
and it must be properly numbered and according to the format. In a
particular use case description don’t simply write the Preconditions, Post
conditions and Special Requirements as none before analyzing the
particular use case in detail. A sample format of use case description has

3.4 Design Diagrams


3.4.1 Architecture Diagram
It must also include the System Overview explaining how various
stakeholders of the system interact to make the application functional,
description of architectural strategy adopted with block diagram of
architecture along with diagram explanation used in the project
3.4.2 Sequence diagrams.

Chapter – 4 Implementation and Testing

4.1 Database Design


Complete E-R diagram with cardinalities and relationships , It must also
include the snapshot of each table structure with all its fields and a short
description of the content of the table under it .
4.2 Class diagram and its explanation in detail. What is the purpose of class.
Then explain working of methods of that class with the parameter it takes. Do
this for all classes of your class diagram )
4.3 Test Cases It must also include the short description of testing techniques used by
you and major possible screen snapshots indicating user input and application
output.
Each snapshot must include along with it the following things:- (a)
A short description about the snapshot.
(b) All possible test cases that were used to test the snapshot i.e. for
correct and incorrect input that you gave and what output the system
gave must be included below snapshots Test 01 : Test case for

It should include your learning and achievements from the project, limitations of the
project, future expansions.

report. If you have taken material from any of the above in the report it is mandatory to
write the name of the resource in the reference ).
