Introduction
One Suzuki Multi-function Gauge (SMG)
includes all information on multiple analog
gauges, plus some information which is not
available on analog gauges.
One multi-function gauge is used for each
engine.
The multi-function gauge is compatible with
all 2015 and later DF9.9B to DF350A.
Gauges and software are backwards
compatible but sometimes not the other
way. Therefore, it is important to match the
SMG4 to the engine and to NMEA 2000
accessories that are added.

Introduction
The controls and main functions on all versions of the Suzuki Multi-Function
Gauge are shown in this introductory section.
The MENU button switches over to the main screen or the previous screen

Introduction
The wiring is basically the same for
mechanical and precision control models
other than the gauge adaptor. When using
the multi-function gauge on a mechanical
remote control model, the signal must be
changed from analog to digital at the
engine side.
To accomplish this, connect gauge
connector A to SDS communication
connector B.
• If rigging a 2023 model year DF40A/50A/60A,
DF70A/90ª, DF115A/140A or
DF150A/175A/200A, the SDS connector can B
remain capped if using the remote control A
harness with CAN communication. Refer to
Master Tech M22-2 for more information. DF200A example

The Suzuki Diagnostic System Mobile app has been developed. It works with SMG4 part number
34011-96L12 or higher.
The first step is to download the free “Suzuki Diagnostic System Mobile” app to your
mobile phone.
A quick method to obtain data is by pressing the UP and DOWN buttons at the same time
while in all mode display.
22
Update 34011-96L12
Another method is to go to the Diagnosis menu, press SET to select Data Output and
SET again to select Create Data. You can also scroll to Log to obtain earlier saved data.
Up to 15 the latest data files are saved.
The data for one engine is contained in three QR codes. If GPS is connected, the date
and time will be indicated in the data.
23
Update 34011-96L12
If the boat is not at your dealership, you can arrange to have the customer download the
app and send the saved data to you for analysis.
Once received, use SDS to study the ENC data contained in the 3 QR code files.
Since customers do not have SDS, they can still view total operation hours from the last oil
change and usage hours at different engine speeds. The latest version app also has pre-
boating inspection and weather information.
