developing social skills, and I have an opportunity to recharge my batteries after
never-racking time. I usually go to parties with my friend and my family.

they always support me no matter what happens in my life.

It’s hard for me to say because there are so many kind of music such as “ROCK,

emotional, and I find that they're very relaxing and enjoyable to listen to.
Let’s talk about books and reading

My favorite book is the alchemist by author Paulo. It is a story of a young boy

Part 2:
Situation 1: Your mother-in-law
Well, you know, my mother-in-law is going to be 80 years old next Sunday. I and
my spouse wish to give her a surprise. There are 3 options provided including: a
bunch of flower, a holiday, and a family party. From my point of view, a family
party would be the optimal choice because of the following reasons.
The first reason is it’s not only cozy but also meaningful, this is a chance for all
members in family to gather together and say happy birthday to their mother-in-
law.
Another reason I want to mention is when organized a family party, we have an
opportunity to meet up with all family members and cook or prepare for the meal
together. Therefore, we are able to bond solid relationships among every people
in the family.
Moreover, Old people always love meeting their own children on some special
day.
When it comes to another 2 options, I don’t opt for a bunch of flower because it’s
extravagant and cannot be kept for a long time and a holiday Is not my choice
either because she don’t have enough health to travel to far from house.
In sum, I would have to say that a family party is the final choice in this situation.
3
think doing aerobics is not my choice because it can make me more tired and
exhausted.
In sum, I would have to say that swimming is the final choice in this situation.
Well, you know, my family members are going to have a three-week vacation
together. They are wondering about 3 destinations: Phuket beach, Da Lat,
Sydney. From my point of view, Traveling to Da Lat would be the optimal choice
because of the following reasons.
The first reason is that Dalat is a famous tourist destination in Vietnam with many
marvelous natural landscapes such as Langbiang Mountain, Lam Vien square
and love valley. Therefore, we have more opportunity to enjoy the nice
atmosphere.
Another reason I want to mention is that it’s not only beautiful but also tranquil
and the local residents are friendly, social and hardworking.
Moreover, the weather in Dalat is mild and pleasant. It’s a great way for me to
enjoy a lot of outdoor activities or festivities in this City. It is one of the best
romantic cities in my country.
When it comes to another 2 options, I don’t opt for Sydney because it’s
exorbitantly expensive about transportation cost and travel cost. We don’t have
enough money to pay. And I think doing Phuket beach is not my choice because
it’s too far and not suitable for my family.
In sum, I would have to say that traveling to Dalat is the final choice in this
situation.
Part 3: (Studying abroad) it is the best for our children to go abroad for
higher education
There is no denying the fact that Studying abroad has a profound influence on
children. From my point of view, I profoundly agree with this statement because
of the following reasons.
The first reason is that thanks to studying in other country children able to job
opportunities. After graduated they can get a job with high salary and
professional working environment compared to students learning inside our
country.
4
Another reason would be mentioned is a child having an opportunity to
languages master. Have a good environment to improve English levels; they can
communicate with native speakers every day.
Last but not least when they studying abroad, it’s a great way for them to
personal growth, they must learn how to take care of themselves. Therefore,
children are bound to become more independent and mature. Moreover, it can
help them to meet new friends and learn more about the culture of the host
countries.
In sum, I have to admit that studying abroad has a positive impact on children.
1. What are the qualities of a good student?
A good student typically has to qualities such as diligence, discipline and a
willingness to learn. They are responsible, and are able to control their time
effectively. Good students are also proactive in seeking help when needed, and
are able to work well independently as well as in groups. Additionally, they are
open-minded, and willing to engage in discussions with their peers.
2. What are some disadvantages of studying abroad?
Travelling abroad to study is detrimental to children in many different aspects. In
fact, they must live far away from their family and friends; they will feel so lonely
and homesick. Secondly, they can face language barrier and culture shocks. To
be more specific, students find it hard in communication with local people.
Moreover, I believe the cost of living is so high in foreign countries. To be honest,
not every international students has enough money to pay for like food, bill and
so on.
The first reason is the parents sacrifice so many thing of their life just to ensure a
better life for us and nothing in this whole world could even be compared with
their sacrifice for us. They will spend a lot of time teaching them a lot of things in
life like talking, eating to the smallest things.
Another reason would be mentioned is, the dream of parents is that their children
will have a better future and become good citizens in society. Therefore, they will
teach them will all love and responsibility.
5
Last but not least, parents help us know our strengths and weakness because
they understand us better than anyone so they will give the best guidance for
their children to become better every day.
Follow-up question
- Do teacher-sometimes teach things that are not important.
