Manifesto (Final)
I am Diala Echeruo and I am here to ask for your vote to serve you as middle school
assistant headboy. I am asking for your vote as I believe that I am the best suited candidate to
improve communication between the various year groups and create a more effective and
responsive SRC.
1. Specifically, I will work to create a platform where students can voice their opinions not
only about school issues but also to be more involved in the decision making processes
for school activities such as spirit week and sports day.
2. I will also advocate for a mentor system that enables younger students to get a mentor in
a higher year who can help them with their studies and academic challenges. In addition
to providing assistance to younger students, it will also provide older students with the
opportunity to improve their leadership skills.
3. Thirdy, I will ensure that the opinions of all students are reflected in the operation of the
school by working with the wellbeing department to incorporate the results from the
anonymous surveys in the decision making process of the SRC and the school
administration.
4. Furthermore, I will make sure that the field and the court times during breaks are shared
equitably and fairly. Break times have been an issue for students, and it is important that
we make sure that the space on the field and courts ensures that all students can enjoy
their breaks.
5. Finally, I want to add more to the already existing house competitions. As of now, the
house competitions are limited to sports day and competitions based around specific
days such as pi day. Therefore, I want to add more house competitions where the house
that wins the most competitions during the academic year may get an award.
You can trust me to follow up on these promises as I am dedicated and passionate about ARIS
and I have demonstrated this by representing the school in the math olympiad for 3 years, the
informatics olympiad, the steam conference at the british council and the football varsity team.
I know that you Year 7s, Year 8s and Year 9s are also passionate about the school so please
make the right decision and vote for me as assistant head boy. I promise I will not let you down.
