The wind will miss them_____ the rain,
When its silver blind is down
They have tripped the bark from the wood_
The needly boughs, and the brown
Knobby nuts trodden into the ground
In this stanza, the poetess describes the tragic sight of mutilated, lacerated and
destroyed pine trees .The poetess says that the cruel people have cut down the pine
trees. Now the heavy rain and fast blowing wind cannot find them in its place earlier, and
now all is finished. The pine trees lay dispersed on the ground.

Where all day small winds sound
And all day long the sun
Plays hide and seek with shadows
Till the multiplying shadows turn to one
And night is here
