MARKETING STRATEGIES

This study was designed to determine the relocations’ influence

on local merchants’ marketing strategy in the Municipality of Manaoag,

associated with the Marketing Strategy Theory and Relocation Theory

and has employed the documentary analysis. By utilizing the Voice

analytics as the main tool— The majority of the 20 local merchants

were between the ages of 25 and 36; 18 were female; 10 had 1 month
to 8 years of experience and 10 had 10 to 30 years of experience in

selling; 11 selling religious articles and souvenirs; 9 selling delicacies

and pasalubong; 7 had a permanent location; 3 rented; and 10 had a

temporary location and were about to be relocated; 19 using

approaching customers as a marketing strategy; and one did not sales

talk and when relocation occurred, there were major changes in the

marketing mix, including a decrease in sales and an increase in the

prices of the products. Sales talk and approaching customers is the

primary marketing strategy employed by local merchants and will be

utilize again when the relocation occurs since it is the most effective

method to sell their products and generate more sales.
