INTERNSHIP REPORT

I contacted Sir through his email. This perked up my interest and being a law
student, I was provided with the perfect window of opponuni1y in the form of
the I-month holiday just after my I• Year End Term Examinations and I have
received an outstanding experience to say the least. A far as I am concerned, I
got the exposure thought I would gel working under a person with such
impeccable character and qualifications as him.

people there treat like family:

WORKS DONE AND LEARNT·

I_ learnt how to prepare SLPs, List of Dates and learnt about the various terms
hke Interlocutory Applications and various courts and tribunals. The very first
~ that I took into the legal lield was learning how to translate the liles. This
is not included in the proper legal work but is the works that is designated to
tr1115Jators, and I was puzzled as to why I was assigned this work. Later, in the
C\·ening after the work assigned to me was complete, I was called in the cabin
and Sir asked me about the details of the case. I stopped short on being
questioned so randomly. I took a moment and told him that I have only done the
translation and am yet to read the lile. He then asked me to explain to him that I
had translated in detail.
To my pleasant surprise, I found out that I knew most of the details such as the
date and place of the FIR, the content of the Report, the proceedings that took
place in the lower court and in fact, I was able to draw out the grounds for the
arguments. The case was of Dowry Death which comes under the purview of
Section 304 B of the Indian Penal Code and in fact I even remembered the tests
for Dowry Death.
This is just one instance of how Sir uses different measures and approach to
teach us things.
