1. Fridge: Keeps food cold.

2. Drill: Is a tool to make holes in the wall.

3. Kettle: You use it to boil water.

4. Light Switch: You use it to turn the lights on and off.

5. Iron: You use an iron heated to press wrinkles from fabric.

6. Vacuum Cleaner: When a surface is dirty, you switch it to clean by suction.

7. Plug: Is used to connect an appliance to a power supply.

8. Toaster: Gets the bread crunchy and hot.

9. Laptop: When you use a laptop, you can work on your laps.

Exercise 9. Complete with There was or there were.

Exercise 10. Change the following sentences into the negative (use short forms)

Exercise 11. This is a very famous place in London called Piccadilly Circus. The photo was taken
