Analysis and Interpretation:


The results of the achievement test of the Grade 7 learners reveal that the
percentage of the learners who achieved or exceeded the MPL was only 19.72% which
indicates that majority of the learners were not able to master the competencies in
Science 7. Moreover, it also reveals that the most learned competency (rank 1) was
also the least learned competency (rank 1) which is to distinguish mixtures from
substances based on a set of properties.

The results of the Regional Achievement Test of the Grade 8 learners reveal that the
