about color theory and color schemes through my notes. Color Notes • We are learning about color and you need to get the following. • LAPTOPS • Color Worksheet • Colored pencil • Red • Blue • Yellow • Violet • Green • Orange You will work at your own pace to complete the worksheet and turn it in at the end of class. Color Notes • Using the following Colored pencils, color in the color wheel first. If two colors are listed in a pie piece use those colors to mix(create) the color i.e. Red Violet- use the red colored pencil with the violet colored pencil to make Red Violet. • Red • Blue • Yellow • Violet • Green • Orange What is Color? • Color is perceived by the way light reflects from a surface. The color Wheel shows the relationship between colors. Primary Colors
The 3 colors which all
other colors are created. Secondary colors •Created by mixing equal portions of 2 primaries. Tertiary Colors •Created by mixing equal portions of a primary color with a secondary color Complementary Colors •Colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel. When 2 complementary colors are mixed they neutralize each other by creating brown. Split Complements •uses the two colors adjacent to its complement. •Create a Y on the color wheel. Analogous Colors •Three colors that are next to each other on the color wheel. Warm Cool • Evoke the feeling of warmth • Evoke the feeling of calm and peace Monochromatic colors •One color with shades and tints of that color Make sure your name is at the top Complete the packet and turn it into the sub.
