JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Mobilization of manpower,equipment, vehicles and tools in plant for Electrical works.
2. Cable Laying, pulling & Dressing
3. Glanding and termination
4. Continuity test and insulation resistance test
5. Installation of cable trays and conduits.

1.3 Falling materials Procedure
1.2.2 PTW (Hot Work Permit, Vehicle Entry Permit
1.2.3 All vehicles entering plant must be fitted with spark
arrestors and diesel vehicles must be fitted with Chalwyn
valve.
1.3.1 Materials &equipment must be properly secured by
chain/ratchet belts during vehicle movement.

2 Cable Laying, pulling 1.1 Cut & Splinters on 1.1.1 Storage of Cable Drum should be prevented from

1.2 Cable rolling out 1.1.2 Cable Drums should be properly located on cable jack

techniques includingthe requirement for ensuring good
manual handling techniques
1.3.4 Provide proper job rotation during the exicution.
1.4.1 Follow mid-day break rules as per regulatory body
requirements
1.4.2 Provide cold drinking watrer at the jobsite during hot
weather condition.

1.4.3 Drink plenty of cold drinking water/Electrolyte solution
especially during hot weather condition.
1.4.4 Immediately get out from the cable pulling / laying area
when symptoms of heat stress attacked and inform your
Supervisor or SafetyOfficer immediately.
1.4.5 shaded area shall be provided for rest period.
Resting adjacent to or under plant or equipment is
prohibited
1.5.1 Workers shall NOT RUN on installed or laid cables
during cable pulling.
1.5.2 Cables shall be kept away from foot and equipment
traffic.
1.5.3 Stored materials shall be barricaded and provided
with signs.
1.5.4 Avoid storing materials on walkways or ingress or
egress

6 General Safeguards common to all tasks • Conduct Tool Box Talk (TBT) prior start of the job
• Appropriate PPEs to be used based on job hazards.
• Mandatory PPEs (hand gloves, safety goggles, hard hat and safety shoes) to be
used always.
• Valid work permits to be taken prior to all jobs.
• Continuous supervision by APS & Dugas shall be ensured throughout the job.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards
• Follow waste management plan and waste management procedure
• Safety watchers from APS & Dugas to be available throughout the job.
• Shaded areas, hydration drinks & adequate water supply availability
• Any work changes & if there is any emergencies, permit receiver must inform
DUGAS/APS HSE/
permit issuer immediately

• Always follow ENOC- DUGAS COVID Protocols & Security Access Control
- Green Pass (14 days valid) or
- PCR Test (48 hours valid)

RECOMMENDATIONS:

• Follow proper procedures ( ESR00800-00-CM-MST-2005 latest revision) provided for this job and “DO NOT DEVIATE” from the scope of work
• If change is required Regroup, Discuss & Communicate to MTBE Operations Supervisor and Proceed with the work when “Authorized ”
