Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled, “switched-on” Data Engineer with Data Science
Expertise to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for
designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure.

You will also work closely with other stakeholders to analyze large datasets and
extract actionable insights. This is a hybrid role requiring a strong background in
data engineering, data architecture, and hands-on data science.

Key Responsibilities:
● Data Engineering:
○ Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data architectures to
support various data needs.
○ Implement and manage scalable data pipelines that handle data
ingestion, storage, and processing.
○ Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices in
data validation, error handling, and data governance.
○ Collaborate with other members of the tech team to manage data
infrastructure, including cloud services, databases, and data lakes.
○ Optimize database performance, focusing on speed, scalability, and
reliability.
● Data Science & Analytics:
○ Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling
techniques to generate insights from data.
○ Engage with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate
business requirements into analytical solutions.
○ Build and deploy machine learning models for real-time or batch
predictions, using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or
Scikit-Learn.

○ Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and create visualizations to
communicate findings.
○ Monitor model performance, retrain models, and refine algorithms as
needed.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration:
○ Work closely with the engineering team to ensure data solutions
align with business goals.

Requirements
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data
Science, or a related field (Master's or PhD is a plus).
● Experience: 3+ years in data engineering, with additional experience in data
science or machine learning.
● Technical Skills:
○ Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
○ Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL
databases.
○ Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
○ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data
pipeline tools (Airflow, Apache NiFi).
○ Competency in data science and machine learning frameworks (e.g.,
Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
○ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI,
Matplotlib, Seaborn).
● Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent
communication, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
