Worlds Apart Step 1

Lilo & Stitch is the first fully animated feature to

use watercolor backgrounds since Dumbo. The
two very different worlds in the story are illus-
trated most dramatically through color. Cool col-
ors like blues and grays are used in space and
on the planet Turo. In contrast, warm reds, yel-
lows, and greens define the lush, tropical
atmosphere on Earth.
Step 2
One thing that outer space and
Earth do have in common is that Lilo and Stitch have become the
the characters, spaceships, props, best of friends. They have a lot

Lilo’s wish came true: She did find a friend who wouldn’t leave her. And
what’s more—she found a whole new family! Together they rebuilt Nani
and Lilo’s house, where they all celebrated Christmas. Although Jumba,
Pleakley, Cobra, David, Nani, Lilo, and Stitch aren’t your typical family,
they have the most important thing—‘ohana; they all make sure that
