1. PLV 0.3
This is a single er, self-limi ng depth gauge bur with a working diameter of
0.3 mm. It has a non-cu ng shank that extends above and below the working
surface. This ensures that precise depth grooves of 0.3 mm are created,
regardless of the labial curvature of the tooth
Use: To scribe depth grooves when preparing the tooth for Porcelain Laminate
Veneers. Ideal for use on the cervical aspect of teeth where the enamel is
thinnest.

2. PLV 0.5
This is also a single er, self-limi ng depth gauge bur with a working diameter
of 0.5 mm. Works on the same principle as that described for the PLV 0.3 bur.
It ensures that depth grooves achieved are 0.5 mm deep, regardless of the
labial curvature of the tooth.
Use: To scribe depth grooves when preparing the middle and incisal plane of
teeth where greater prepara on is desirable.
Use: To scribe depth grooves when preparing the tooth for Porcelain Laminate Veneers. Ideal for use on the cervical aspect of the tooth where the enamel is thinnest.

3. DC 1.0
This is a Deep Chamfer bur with a p diameter of 1.0 mm. This bur is to be
used only half its depth in order to avoid forma on of a lip of enamel at the
margin. Thus when used correctly, it leaves a 0.5 mm groove in the tooth.
Use: For preparing all 360 degree margins when planning for a posterior
onlay or overlay type restora on.
Use: To scribe depth grooves when preparing the tooth for Porcelain Laminate Veneers. Ideal for use on the cervical aspect of the tooth where the enamel is thinnest.

4. DC 1.2F
This is a Deep Chamfer Finishing bur with a p diameter of 1.2 mm. As this
is a deep chamfer design, it is also used up to half its depth to avoid
forma on of a lip of enamel at the margin.
Use: For nishing margins and surfaces that have been prepared with the
DC 1.0 bur.

5. DC 1.2EF
This is an Extra Fine Deep Chamfer Polishing bur with a p diameter of 1.2
mm and is one of only two yellow ring burs in this kit.
Use: For polishing all margins and surfaces when planning for a posterior
onlay or overlay type restora on and an anterior Porcelain Laminate
Veneer type restora on. Close adapta on between the PBR and the
underlying tooth structure is extremely important for ensuring long term
success with conserva ve prepara ons. A smooth polished surface helps
achieve this requirement.

6. DC 1.4
This is a Deep Chamfer bur with a p diameter of 1.4 mm. This bur is also
to be used up to half its depth. Thus when used correctly, it leaves a
0.5-0.7 mm deep chamfer margin.
Use: For preparing all ceramic margins for teeth with deep den nal
discolora on that require greater tooth reduc on for func onal and/or
aesthe c correc on.

7. DC 1.8F
This is a Deep Chamfer Finishing bur with a p diameter of 1.8 mm.
This bur is also to be used up to half its depth.
Use: For nishing margins and surfaces that have been prepared with
the DC 1.4 bur.

8. IR 1.5
This is a self-limi ng Incisal Reduc on bur with a working length of 1.5 mm
and a p diameter of 1.0 mm. This bur is used by holding its shank ush
with the incisal edge of the tooth and then moving it straight through from
the labial into the palatal/ lingual aspect (in one sweeping mo on). When
used correctly, it leaves a groove that is 1.5 mm tall and 1.0 mm wide.
Use: For preparing depth grooves when reducing the incisal edge.

9. CR 2.3
This is a Cingulum Reduc on bur with a diameter of 2.3 mm at its widest
circumference. It is used by posi oning the bur such that its widest
por on sits into the deepest concavity on the palatal/ lingual aspect of the
tooth being prepared.
Use: For reduc on of the lingual fossa of anterior teeth.

10. EC 1.4F
This is an End Cu ng Finishing bur with a p diameter of 1.4 mm. This bur
has diamonds incorporated only at its p and has a non-cu ng shank. The
non-cu ng shank of the bur allows for it to be used on proximal surfaces of
the prepared tooth, without the fear of inadvertent damage to the adjacent
teeth. This bur is to be used with pull strokes only, as a push stroke carries
the risk of ploughing/digging the bur into the prepared margin.
Use: For opening inter-proximal contacts and for removing irregular/
unsupported enamel around the prepared cervical margins.

11. CA 16F
This is a Ceramic Adjustment bur with a diameter of 1.6 mm at its
widest circumference. It is a round headed, ovoid, internally tapering
bur of a ne grit.
Use: The p of this bur is to be used for adjus ng sta c occlusal
interferences, while the remainder of its length is to be used for
reducing incline surface interferences contac ng during excursive
movements, post bonding.

12. CA 1.6EF
This is a Ceramic Polishing bur with a diameter of 1.6 mm at its widest
circumference. It is a round headed, ovoid, internally tapering bur of an
extra ne grit.
Use: It is used for smoothening and polishing occlusal surfaces that have
been adjusted with the CA1.6F bur.
