PERSONAL STATEMENT OF MOTIVATION WHY I WANT TO STUDY COMPUTER

SCIENCE

I'm keen on concentrating on software development since I think that it is

captivating. At the point when I was starting my teenage hood, I have always
enjoyed keeping up-to-date with the latest advances in technology and have
remained amazed at the speed of computerized developments and Realistic
Expressions over the past few years, yet I picked software development as my
vocation in view of its opening, I enjoy keeping healthy alongside the socially
interaction of playing sports with my friends. I wish to concentrate on an IT and
PC related course as I accept both of these subjects will give the premise to me to
advance into a profession with extraordinary potential. I'm a focused, aggressive
young fellow who is anticipating the many difficulties that College will bring me.
Many factors contribute to why I am interested in developing computer software.
While I enjoy the challenges within computer science I also relish the creative
work, which fits in with my love for football. I need to be in a lifelong that needs a
consistent methodology, but also needs an open-mindedness to other perspectives.
Furthering my education in the field of computing, in my opinion, will enable me
to develop and create while being at the forefront of what I envision our future to
look like. I'm really interested in finding out more about software developing and
our strategies for enhancing its practical applicability. I understand that software
development/engineering isn't just about programming and equipment yet in
addition about the morals involved during the time spent a plan as well as creative
reasoning. I have been teaching myself some programming language like HTMl,
CSS and JavaScript in my spare time to attain a skill in web development and have
completed online web development course on Coursera and Udemy, which have
allowed me to explore the endless possibilities that computer science can bring to
the world. I have learnt to create a simple web page. I am constantly seeking to
learn new skills and gain experience from various activities. I have been a member
of the ABUAD Code-Blooded Community for three weeks, where I have learnt
some valuable life skills such as discipline, leadership, and confidence. Through all
these experiences I am learning to work with people from different backgrounds
and people who have different ideas to the ones I do. This is helping me to adjust
my approach to solving different problems and situations.
Technological advancements take place around us every day, from the evolution of
antenna phones into smart phones to the introduction of smart virtual assistants
such as Apple’s Siri, Google Now and Windows’ Cortina. I know the fact that
computer science has become a fundamental element in the development of a
better, smarter future for our world and my goal is to be part of that development
process.

RELEVANCE OF COMPUTER SCIENCE DEGREE TO THE COUNTRY

Computer science makes the world better. As we live in a digital age, most
industries rely on data and software programmes. Computer Science & IT impacts
everything, from scientific research to health development, transport, banking,
communications, you name it.
The world we are in now evolves with technology and the role of computers in our
daily lives is ever-growing. With arising tech that impacts everything from medical
services to farming, I could be at the core of the most recent developments. With a
software developer certificate I can investigate a scope of specialisms relying upon
my profession objectives. Enterprises searching for capable software engineers
incorporate man-made intelligence, PC security, government, medical care,
horticulture/agritech, training, AI and monetary administrations. One of the
benefits of studying computer science is I will develop skills that will be useful to
me in my career. For example, being analytical and good at problem solving are
essential skills any employer would look for. Computer science deals with solving
problem and every part of our world need some sort of problem that need to be
solved. When I consider ways of improving people’s lives healthcare seems to be
at the top of my agenda. Computer science has the power of improving healthcare
through the web space. Computer science allows healthcare facilities to network
and work together to provide the beest possible healthcare in the country.
Computer science has the potential to build many career because it offers so many
economic and financial opportunities. Computer science can provide us with some
lifesaving tools. Computer is playing a very important role in our economy. Now a
day’s computers are mostly used in school, college, banks and offices etc. In all
fields computer works very easily because today computer technology is excellent
as compared to old computers, like speed and size due to which it reduces cost of
labor and extra expenses. For Nigeria to become a better place, its citizens must be
shown the possibilities of the world. The best way to do this is by giving them the
skills to use a computer and access the Internet.

RELEVANCE OF COMPUTER DEGREE COURSE TO SIGNIFICANT EMPLOYERS

My computer science career may include a year in industry, which will give me the
opportunity to develop commercial skills and build up a network of contacts .As
we all know Computer science degree opens up a range of IT career from
application to web development. My computer science course may include a year
in the industry, which will give me the opportunity to development commercial
skills and build up a network of contact. Knowing common employers are IT
consultancies and IT service providers. However, most business will rely on
computer to function effectively. I can find opportunities with a range of small to
medium sized business. Another option is to set up a business, providing IT
services such as software development. The increasing extent of computer science
means I have plenty of choice in a wide variety of highly specialized areas. I am
likely to find that employers across many different industries are in high demand
for my computer science skills because computers are an essential part of modern
life. These include multinational corporations, financial institutions, and
management consulting firms, software developers, communications providers,
data storage facilities, universities, and medical facilities. As I represent a
broad role in IT, my job will be similar to that of application
developer and systems designers whose roles are more specialized
but nonetheless work on a consultancy basis.

I may also become involved in sales and business development,

identifying potential clients and maintaining good business contacts.
There is fierce competition in this role, so gaining work experience
in a commercial environment would help increase your prospects. I
must ensure that the company's ICT facilities are up to date, meet
its needs, and do so within the set budget and in compliance with all
applicable software licensing laws. In order to contribute to
organizational policy regarding quality standards and strategic
planning in relation to IT, I may also need to have a working
knowledge of business and management principles. I will need to
work with other designer to understand the design concept, discuss
how it can be technically implemented, identify the operational rules
necessary, write efficient computer code or script to make the
features work, run tests of the product to test for bugs and rewrite
or add new code if necessary. Coding can be quite interesting
sometimes. This wills demonstrate to the employers my interest in
the subject and my problem-solving skills, creativity and initiative.

PLAN OF ACTION AFTER YOUR FIRST DEGREE

Almost all businesses rely on computers to function and larger companies have
their own in-house IT specialists. I could find myself working in an IT department
of major financial services; it could be a software development house making the
next great app or software creating the next AAA title. In order to achieve these
goals, I will send out my resume in hopes that I can find a job that can offer me
some steady hours. I will also stay focused on the requirements that I need in
school in order to attain my transfer degree. I am not in a big hurry to get my
schooling done. In fact, I have come to the conclusion that it may take six or seven
years for me to actually attain a BS in computer science. I will not let that
discourage me from working toward that goal. I also do not want to take too much
time away from my family in order for me to reach my goals. I need to keep that
in perspective as I strive toward other goals. Some specific activities that will help
me reach my goals are time management, and organization. If I can stay organized
and make the best use of my time it will be a much easier road to reach my goals.
In terms of career planning, I am way further ahead now than I was before I took
this class. I have been able to research more jobs related to the major that I have
chosen. I have also solidified my choice of computer science. I have figured out
my personality type and how it relates to the jobs related to the major that I have
chosen. I would definitely say that engaging in a systematic process of career
planning is very valuable to me. Being guided in an effort of discovering my
interests and personality type is beneficial to discovering the types of careers that
would be a good fit for me. Learning about the many resources that relate to career
research, and how those careers relate to my values was invaluable. Not all majors
and careers are a good fit, and finding that out before I made some big decisions is
the best thing that I could have done. You may have to understand and get the hang
of new programming languages on your own, without anyone to teach you. It
might be a good idea to look for introductions to online programming languages,
some of which are even offered for free. I could also make little websites or
programs just for myself, to test my abilities and push myself further.
