Zoro from One Piece

SIZE
Approximately size 7.5 cm/ 3” tall.
GAUGE
Stitch tight enough in order to reduce the gap of the fibre fill.

ch – chain
sc – single crochet
inc – 2sc in one stitch
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tr – treble crochet
dtr – double treble crochet
dec – single crochet 2 together
sl st – slip stitch
BLO – Back Loop Only
FLO – Front Loop Only

Materials
Acrylic yarn/Milk cotton yarn 3 ply, with colours variant according to the
(around 40% Milk Fiber, 60% Cotton) projects. Please feel free to substitute the
color.

All purpose glue -
These are the yarns that I used for this project, but you can always substitute them with any yarns you
have or with the colours you desire. Please note that different yarn sizes will result in different doll
size.
Instructions
HEAD:
In skin color:
R1: 6sc in magic ring. (6)
R2: inc 6 times. (12)
R3: (sc, inc) x 6 (18)
R4: (sc 2, inc) x 6 (24)
R5: (sc 3, inc) x 6 (30)
R6: (sc 4, inc) x 6 (36)
R7: (sc 11, inc) x 3 (39)
R8-R15: sc 39 (39) (8 Rounds)
R16: (sc, dec) x 13 (26)
R17: dec 13 (13)
Stuff the head with poly-fibre firmly. Sew the body to the head with seamless
R18: dec 6, sc (7) Cut the yarn and fasten off. join technique (search in youtube tutorial
video), then sew the arms to the body.
HAIR:
Use the ‘wrong-side’ for the hair surface, it looks nicer than the ‘right-side’.
Zoro’s hair consist of 3 layers of hair. I will mention them as top layer, middle layer, and
bottom layer. They are made in mint green color:
Top Layer:
R1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
R2: inc 6 times (12)
R3: (sc, inc) x 6 (18). Now we will make the hair piece:
- Ch 7, turn, sl st, sc 2, hdc 2, dc (6), skip 1, sl st (to the stitch at the circle) → 9 pcs
Middle Layer:
R1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
R2: inc 6 times (12)
R3: (sc , inc) x 6 (18)
R4: (sc 2, inc) x 6 (24)
R5: (sc 3, inc) x 6 (30)
R6: (sc 4, inc) x 6 (36)
R7: (sc 5, inc) x 6 (42) Now we will make the hair piece:
- Ch 7, turn, sl st, sc 2, hdc 2, dc (6), skip 2, sl st. → 1 pc
- Ch 4, turn, sl st, sc, hdc (3), skip 1, sl st → 4 pcs
- Ch 7, turn, sl st, sc 2, hdc 2, dc, (6), skip 2, sl st → 1 pc
- Ch 7, turn, sl st, sc, hdc 2, dc, tr (6), skip 3, sl st → 7 pcs
Bottom Layer:
ch 32, turn, start from second stitch from hook: sl st, sc, hdc, dc, tr, dtr (6) skip 3, sl st
→ make 6 pcs.
Attach both eyes into position with a little piece of glue and
embroider the mouth part
