 Diabetes remains a growing concern among Filipinos, the


Department of Health has noted. Citing the Philippine Statistics
Authority, the DOH reported that it has consistently been among
the top five cases of death for five years from two thousand
eighteen to two thousand twenty-two. In two thousand twenty-one
alone, there were over fifty-five thousand reported deaths due to
diabetes.
