Lifetouch Photography Programs and PhotoDay


Information contained in this article pertains to Lifetouch K-12 photography (including Sports), Prestige photography by
Lifetouch and Commencements - photographed in 2024.

For help with Lifetouch Preschool (for 2024) and all Lifetouch Programs and Picture Days photographed prior to February
2024 click here.

What is PhotoDay?
PhotoDay makes picture day easy and convenient for parents! Simply view your child’s photos on your phone, tablet, or
computer, apply your favorite photos to the products and packages you choose, and place your order. We’ll ship directly
to your doorstep.

Why is Lifetouch partnering with PhotoDay?


PhotoDay brings new technology to Lifetouch Programs and allows parents to focus on their child and this milestone
moment knowing they'll be able to see high-quality images within just a few days of the event. With text messaging,
mobile ordering, and FaceFind technology (where allowed), ordering images and products from picture day has never
been easier!

Getting Started with PhotoDay


Depending on the type of Picture Day, (type of Program) you will be provided with a web address or access code (via
email, flyer, or poster with a QR code) and instructions for viewing your image gallery. The access code acts as the
password to your photo gallery.

Where can I find my access code?


Please look for an email or flyer with your student’s specific access code from Lifetouch or your school, or an email or
flyer.

I receive a “service unavailable” or “service access denied” message when sending a text to the 90738 short
code.
• Contact your mobile carrier to verify you have short code service enabled with your plan.
• Make sure you have a cell signal.
• Double check that you are texting the correct short code: 90738.

When I text my access code to 90738 I get a message saying “There doesn’t seem to be a gallery in our system
with that access code.”

• Typically, the gallery is set up 2 weeks prior to Picture Day.


• Your images have not been published yet, typically images are available to view 7 days after the last Picture Day.
• An incorrect access code has been entered.

What is AdvancePay?
What is AdvancePay and how does it work?
AdvancePay gives you the opportunity to purchase credits before picture day to enjoy special discounts or shipping offers
that may not be available after picture day. Once your images are available, simply choose your package and the
AdvancePay credit will automatically be applied to the total order amount in your shopping cart.

Are AdvancePay credits required for me to see my images?


No. AdvancePay credits are optional, but they do qualify you for special discounts or shipping offers. If you would prefer to
wait and see your images without purchasing AdvancePay, exit your browser once you have entered your phone number
and received the confirmation text.

I placed my order with AdvancePay but I didn't spend all of the credits?
AdvancePay credits expire 14 months after the purchase date. Any unused AdvancePay balance can be applied to a
future order (up until 14 months after AdvancePay purchase date).

Will I automatically receive printed photos when I purchase AdvancePay?


No. An AdvancePay purchase does not include any products (printed or digital). Orders for prints and digital images must
be placed separately, after the images are available within the Gallery. Your AdvancePay purchase is applied
automatically to the order total in your shopping cart at checkout.

Why am I unable to purchase AdvancePay credit?


AdvancePay credits can be purchased up until Picture Day. Please be aware that AdvancePay may not be offered in all
areas. Note: AdvancePay is not available for Prestige Seniors Portraits.

How do I view my images?

How do I view my gallery?


If you have opted-in to receive text messaging, prior to Picture Day, you will receive an SMS message when the images
from the picture day event are published to your gallery. Typically this is within 7 days after Picture Day. Click on the link
provided via text or go to my.photoday.com to get started.

I can't see my images and it is only allowing me to purchase an AdvancePay credit.


Images should be published within 7 business days after the event. Until the images are published, the only item available
for purchase will be the AdvancePay credit. If it has been more than 14 business days, please contact (877) 791-1676.

What is FaceFind and how is it used?


FaceFind searches all event photos, and locates your child’s images, so that you can easily view and order. Simply
upload one of your own photos of your child, and PhotoDay's FaceFind technology will scan all event photos to curate a
selection just for you!

Note - As of July 2024, FaceFind is not available in CO, CT, IL, TX, VA, or Portland, OR.

How do I order my images?


How do I order my photos?
After accessing your gallery, simply choose your favorite poses by clicking the heart. Click on an image you like and
choose Shop Now. Choose your package, images, and cropping before adding to the cart. Add your contact and delivery
information, select a shipping method, and apply any coupon codes you may have received. If you purchased an
AdvancePay credit, be sure to sign in using the same mobile number you used to purchase the credit - it will then
automatically apply to your total. Once you’re ready, enter your payment method, and hit the “Pay Now” button.

Can I customize my package?


Yes. There are various customization options available, such as cropping and background selection (where available).
Please note: Ensure you crop your images to match the final print size. In particular, make sure the top and bottom of
the image are not cropped too ‘tightly’ – leave a suitable gap above the image (above the top of the head).

Can multiple photos be chosen for a package?
Yes. One of the benefits of using PhotoDay is its flexibility in allowing you to choose which photos you would like on
specific products. You can select multiple poses & backgrounds within the same package, right from your shopping cart.

Do I have the ability to retouch my images?


Yes Retouching is available for each individual image and will flow to any product that you order. Retouching has an
additional fee per image.

Please note: Retouching will only soften and smooth skin and remove acne and blemishes. Retouching won't remove
permanent features (like scars, freckles, birthmarks, etc.), retouch body skin (only applies to faces and necks), affect
glass glare, teeth, hair, stains, or smudges on faces.

Can I order images from different galleries in a single transaction?


Yes, as long as they are within the same picture day event. If the images are part of different events (i.e. Graduation and
Sports), they need to be ordered separately.

What shipping methods are available?


PhotoDay offers several shipping options based on when you may need to receive your order. Please see the current
options below. Shipping cost breakdown will be available in your shopping cart.

Can I cancel an order?


As soon as you place an order, it immediately starts to get processed, so that you receive it as soon as possible. For this
reason, it is not possible to cancel an order, once it has been placed.

Digital Image Orders


How can I download my photos?
Purchasing digital copies of your photos is a great way to preserve your memories in a format that will never degrade with
time or be susceptible to the elements. PhotoDay offers two varieties: High-Res and Social Sharing. High-Res is best for
printing and archiving. You’ll receive an SMS text to the number you provide at checkout once they are available. If you
didn’t receive a text message, the link to your downloads will also be located on your order receipt. When downloading,
save images to file for the highest resolution (highest quality). Saving to Photos will compress the image.

Please note: When you click on the link to download images, it will open in a web browser. Download each image
separately, or all at once by clicking the green Download button.

How soon will I get my digital download after ordering?


Digital Downloads are typically available within 24 hours after placing the order. The Copyright Release is sent in a
separate email.

Will I also receive printed photos?


Reminder – A digital download order does not include any printed products. If printed products / photos are needed,
please ensure those are ordered in addition to the digital download.

Other FAQ

I don’t like my photos. Is there a retake day?


K-12 and Prestige photography may include a Retake Day. Communications for any available retake days will be provided
via email or flyer.

I received my photos, but some appear to be damaged. What do I do?


Please call (877) 791-1676 with your student’s name, school name, picture date and program type.

Can I use Lifetouch rewards?


No. Lifetouch Rewards can only be earned and used on portrait and product purchases made on
the MyLifetouch.com website.
