SALAZAR, MALACHI CRES JUSTIN L.

#46 M2-AP5

HUM031 – MONDAY/FRIDAY – 7:30AM-9:00AM 10/22/24

“Left Behind” a Social Justice Anthem genre song, a trans creation of the
inequality, systemic failure, and struggles of marginalized group of people,
experiencing difficulties accessing an equal and proper medical healthcare.
Which is unquestionably commonly seen and experienced not just locally,
but globally. A very alarming issue that leaders, institutions, organizations,
etc. still fails to eliminate. Thus, addressing and helping the burdened and
most vulnerable ones amplify their voices through these lyrics is the smallest
I can possibly contribute.

Verse 1:

In the heart of the city, there’s a silent cry,

Where the rich get healed and the poor get by.

A broken system, promises made,

But when we need help, it’s too late to be saved.

Pre-Chorus:

We’re all just numbers in their game,

But the ones with nothing feel the flame.

No care, no hope, left out in the cold,

How much more suffering before the truth is told?

Chorus:

We’re left behind, left behind,

While the world turns a blind eye, deaf and blind.

No justice, no cure for the pain inside,

In this fight for our lives, we’re left behind.

Verse 2:

In the rural roads, the clinic’s closed,

Too far to reach, too weak to hold.

Mothers cry, children fall,

But where’s the help when they need it most of all?

Pre-Chorus:

They say the system’s fair and free,

But it’s only for the ones with means.

For the rest, it’s just a daily war,

How long ‘til we can take no more?

Chorus:

We’re left behind, left behind,

While the world turns a blind eye, deaf and blind.

No justice, no cure for the pain inside,

In this fight for our lives, we’re left behind.

Bridge:

Equality’s a word they preach,

But for the poor, it’s out of reach.

How can we rise when we’re held down?

This is more than just our fight—this is our ground!

Final Chorus:
We won’t be left behind, no more lies,

We’ll rise up, we’ll shout out, reclaim our rights.

For the ones forgotten, for the ones who’ve died,

This is our stand—we won’t be left behind!
