About your prominent trainers

Dr Clare Watt
Corrosion & Integrity Engineer
KW Consulting Engineers Ltd.
Clare has 24 years’ experience in oil and gas corrosion and integrity management and technical
consultancy, supporting onshore and offshore facilities and brownfield projects. For the past
four years Clare was working in a corporate role to develop CUI expertise and input to the development and
testing of related innovation technologies. Clare’s experience includes operational integrity improvement
programs, failure investigation and problem solving. She has set up CUI improvement campaigns,
participated in CUI management cold eyes reviews and created CUI risk-based control methods. Clare has
also undertaken key work in CUI data driven innovation including a recent Eurocorr paper that investigated
the differences between different published and in-house CUI
guidance and provided examples of how to avoid common
errors associated with Risk Based Inspection strategies for
CUI. Clare has lectured for 13 years for the Cranfield University
Corrosion Training Program and is a member of the Energy
Institute Corrosion Management Committee. She has helped
to produce several industry corrosion management guidance
documents.
