FUNDAMENTAL MOVEMENT SKILLS

- Fundamental Movement Skills are essential basic movements that form the
foundation for more complex physical activities. They include locomotor skills like
walking and running, non-locomotor skills such as balancing and twisting, and
manipulative skills like throwing and catching. Mastering these skills early on
helps children build confidence, physical coordination, and a foundation for a
lifelong active lifestyle
.

ASSESSMENT OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY READINESS AND LEVEL

- Assessing physical activity readiness and level is evaluating health status


through screenings, measuring fitness with tests, reviewing past activity levels,
and setting personal goals. This helps ensure that exercise plans are safe, effective,
and tailored to individual needs.

POSTURE AND CORE STABILITY


- Posture and core stability are important for body health. Good posture aligns
your spine, shoulders, and hips, while core stability supports the spine, enhances
balance, and improves movement efficiency. To improve both, focus on
strengthening your core, practicing posture correction, and incorporating regular
stretching and mindful sitting habits. Strengthening your core supports better
posture, and maintaining good posture helps sustain core stability. It is
important to have good core muscles to help you maintain a good posture.

FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY OF THE CORE


- The functional anatomy of the core encompasses a complex interaction of
muscles and structures that work together to provide stability, support, and
movement for the entire body. The core is not limited to just the abdominal
muscles but includes the diaphragm, pelvic floor, and the muscles surrounding
the spine, such as the transverse abdominis, internal and external obliques, and
erector spinae.
