    Smali Patcher Ex Guide

    Applicable for Android 12-14

    Things you need:

    Rooted Android running Android 12-14


    Computer, laptop or PC
    USB data transfer cable
    Java
    SmaliPatcherEx.exe
    Developer Options with USB debugging toggled on
    USB Preferences set to File Transfer

    📁 Create a folder on your computer named “Smali Patcher”


    This is where you will keep all your files for ease of locating

    Installing Java
    1. Navigate to https://www.java.com/download/ie_manual.jsp
    2. Click the green “Download Java” button
    3. When the download is finished, tap the folder icon to open the folder where the program
    was downloaded to
    1. Double click on the Java program you just downloaded
    2. Click “Change destination folder” checkbox in the lower left corner of the installation
    screen then click on Install

    1. Click the “Change” button


    1. Navigate to the Smali Patcher folder you created
    2. Click “OK” and then click “Next”

    1. Java is now installed! Click “Close” and continue to the next steps
    Installing Smali Patcher and Creating a Module
    1. Navigate to https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/module-smalipatcherex-1-0.4627905/
    Reminder: this is only for Android 12-14
    2. Click the .zip file attachment
    3. When the download is finished, tap the folder icon to open the folder where the program
    was downloaded to

    1. Right click on the .zip folder and click “Extract All...”


    1. Click the “Browse” button and choose the “Smali Patcher” folder you created
    2. Click “Extract”
    1. After it’s been extracted to your “Smali Patcher” folder, navigate to the folder
    2. Right click SmaliPatcherEx.exe and click “Run as administrator”
    3. If you are prompted with a confirmation window, click “Yes”

    1. You may be faced with this prompt. If not, skip this.


    2. Simply click “More info”
    1. Then click “Run anyway”

    1. Wait until the Smali Patcher window says “Idle...” in the bottom bar
    1. On your mobile device, open Settings and under Developer Options, ensure that USB
    Debugging is enabled
    1. Plug your device into your computer with your USB data cable
    2. You should be prompted with a message to “Allow USB debugging?”
    3. Tap the box for “Always allow from this computer” for your convenience then tap “Allow”
    1. Once the device is correctly set up and connected to the computer, click “Patch” button
    on the Smali Patcher window on your computer
    2. Allow Smali Patcher to Decompile, Compile and finally *** Complete *** its process and
    return to “Idle...” status at the bottom bar

    1. In your Smali Patcher folder, there should be a new .zip file that was created there
    1. On your mobile device, set USB Preferences to “File Transfer” so that you can move the
    .zip
    1. Transfer the Smali Patcher .zip file your created from your computer to your mobile
    device
    Installing Your Smali Patcher .zip

    1. Open Magisk and tap the Modules tab
    2. At the top, tap on “Install from storage”
    Note: You do not need LSposed if you have Smali Patcher
    1. Navigate to the location where you transfer your Smali Patcher .zip file to and tap it
    1. After installation, tap “Reboot” and that’s it!
