1. TITLE:
Nose Gear Lower Trunnion Inspection
2. EFFECTIVITY
668, 21059200 thru 21061573
INSPECTION COMPLIANCE
ALL USAGE: INITIAL 2000 hours or 10 Years (NOTE)
REPEAT 100 hours or 1 Year (NOTE)
3. PURPOSE
To ensure structural integrity of the nose gear lower trunnion.
4. INSPECTION INSTRUCTIONS
A. Check airplane records to verify that SEB94-19 has been accomplished and if the 1243402-13 or -15
lower trunnion assembly has been installed. If lower -13 or -15 trunnion assembly is installed, this
inspection is complete.
B. Conduct a surface eddy current inspection of the lower trunnion assembly. Refer to SEB94-19 and
Section 2A-13-01 Nondestructive Inspection Methods and Requirements, Eddy Current Inspection –
(Surface Inspection), for additional information.
(1) Clean areas before inspecting if grime or debris are present.
(2) Jack airplane in accordance with the applicable Model 210 Service Manual.
(3) Disconnect nose gear door actuator rods to allow doors to fall open.
(4) Calibrate the ED530 Eddy Current instrument per the manufacturers instructions on the surface
notch on the VM89A Calibration Standard.
(5) Refer to Figure 1. With VM202A Probe placed outside of the indicated area and on a curved
surface of the lower trunnion assembly, adjust the balance to bring the meter needle on scale.
NOTE: Paint must be smooth in indicated area. Smooth paint as necessary for accurate
inspection.

7. REPAIR/MODIFICATION
Replace lower trunnion assembly if cracks are found. Refer to SEB94-19 Step B for replacement
instructions.
