1 Background

1.1 What is “Citrix External Access” and why?


Mirvac’s Citrix External Access is for users who has a Mirvac network account and want to be able to access
their apps remotely away from a Mirvac issued laptop and log on from another device.

Due to the End of Life (EOL) support of Citrix XenApp 6.5. Mirvac’s Group Technology has engaged in
upgrading its Citrix Infrastructure. The external access component user experience has changed, but the
fundamentals of signing-in remains the same.

The RSA token will NO longer be used as it’s preferred Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) tool and has been
replaced by Symantec VIP. This introduces a more advanced security layer and easier user experience
when signing-in to Mirvac’s Citrix externally.

The web address https://portal.mirvac.com/my.policy to access the old Citrix environment will also cease to
function.

2 How to access Mirvac’s Citrix externally

2.1 Prerequisites – Citrix Workspace App and Symantec VIP


The latest version of Citrix Workspace App is recommended to be installed on your machine but not
exclusively required, this can be found in Citrix’s official website. Download the Citrix Workspace App
according to your operating system requirements – https://www.citrix.com/en-au/downloads/workspace-app/
Using the new Citrix Workspace App will ensure compatibility with Mirvac’s new Citrix environment.

You will also need to be enrolled with Mirvac’s Symantec VIP. The next page tells you how to get enrolled to
Mirvac's Symantec VIP.

VIP ENROLMENT QUICK START GUIDE
1 Download the VIP Access application for your iOS or 4 Create a name - For example “My Phone”
Android device

5 From the VIP app on your phone, enter


2 Access the VIP self service portal https://vipssp.mirvac.com in the “Credential ID” and “Security
from any computer and login with your Mirvac username
and Password code”

3 Click the Register button

6 Click the submit button

2.2 How to access Mirvac’s new Citrix guide

1. Enter new Mirvac Citrix URL on your preferred web browser the address bar:
https://virtualapps.mirvac.com

2. Enter your Mirvac username and password -

4. Once you’re successfully signed in, you should then be able to view and launch your
applications from the storefront:

(if you’re using Google Chrome browser, when you click on an application, you’ll be prompted to
download an ICA file. Click on the downloaded ICA file to launch your application.)
