1. Give at least five (5) Philippine movies that you have watched.

2. Among from those five, which is your favorite movie and why did you like it?
From those five Philippine movies that I had watched, the movie Magnifico was my favorite.
Because the story of the movie was great, and I can relate to the main character for his love for
his family, particularly to his grandmother.

Task 2: Answer the following questions below. Write your answers on your Activity Notebook
or Activity Sheet.
1. Among the basic drama skills mentioned, which do you think is your least mastered skill?
Among those basic drama skills, I think the emotions for expression through improvised action
and speech are my least mastered skill. It is because of my personality of being a shy person
which makes me hard to find and create natural emotions and expressions to use for delivering
any line in a drama act.

2. How will you overcome this least skill?


Maybe by socializing with other people so that I can engage and express my real personality with
them, so that I will feel awkward for myself if I make any emotions and expressions that will be
used for the drama act.

1. As a student, why do you need to know the basic drama skills?
In school, there a lot of school play being done every academic year, and having a knowledge in
the basic drama skills will help you enhance your performance in every school play.

2. What do you think is the most recent among the art techniques mentioned in this module?
I think the most recent art technique mentioned in this module is print media, because it requires
a use of technology that takes a long time to emerge, in order to create art.
3. How would you differentiate collage from assemblage?
Collage is different from assemblage because it is a set of pictures that are put together to obtain
a single picture. While an assemblage, on the other hand, is a collection of things that will be put
together to create a three-dimensional object.

Task 1: “My Favorite Piece of Art”

1. Do you have a favorite piece of art? What is it? Describe it
My favorite piece of art is the 1888, The Café Terrace on the Place du Forum by Vincent van
Gogh. It is a painting of a café terrace in Arles at night that shows a calm and happy mood based
on the primary colors used in the painting, which are blue and yellow.

2. What is its form?


Its form is painting.

3. Why is it your favorite?


It is my favorite piece of art because of its beautiful scene that make me feel at ease every time I
get to see this painting. And I want to go there in Arles someday to visit this café store, which is
now known as Café Van Gogh. Because I always imagine myself sitting alone at one of the
tables in the café and waiting for the love of my life to come.

What can you say about this piece of art?
I can say that this piece of art is well drawn, and its color combination is good too. I also want to
commend its color selection because it makes sure that the first thing we would see on the
painting is its focal point, which is the family in the painting.

What style of painting is used?


The style of painting used was expressionism.

How did the artist use the elements of art and the principles of design in this painting?
The artist used the elements of art and the principles of design magnificently that resulted in a
beautiful drawing from the combinations of lines used, and a great overall color combination as
well.

What do you think is the message behind the painting?


I think the message behind the painting is to love and keep our respective families as one whole
family that supports and makes every member of it feel loved. And for us to obtain it, we need to
have a strong bond and open communication with each other.
Do you think the artist is successful in trying to convey his message through this artwork?
I think yes, because as you can see in the painting, there are 5 persons that are close to each
other, and this will give the impression that they are a family consisting of 5 members. And
being close to one another means they all love each other. So, anyone who can see this painting
might also think that the meaning of this painting is to love our family and create strong bonds
with one another.
