1 About the user manual

This user manual introduce WEB configuration based on 4/8 PON OLT

1.1 Manual conventions

Different striking signs are used in the user manual to indicate where

special attention is required during operation. Below is the meaning of


those signs.

Make necessary additions and instructions to the description of operations
to avoid repeating common errors.

1- 1 Symbol convention
format meanings
Bold Boldface represent the window name, menu name, button name and
different variable input and Settings in graphical interface. Click “revise”
access to “revise basic configuration” interface.
Simple operation step concatenations. For example, open Start > control
> panel > network connections successively.
Courier Courier font text represents input result of the command and command
line. for example:
#Ping -t 192.168.0.1
<…> represents key press. For example, press <Ctrl> +
<…> <Alt> + <Delete> simultaneous will access to task manager
Window.

The Illustration and relevant parameters in user manual is just a

reference for guiding you how to config and use the device. There may

some slightly difference, so please config the device according to actual

situations.
2 Configuration and preparation

Before login config interface, please confirm the followings.

 The computer used for management have installed Ethernet

card.

 To achieve the best display, suggest use Microsoft IE explore (9.0

or 9.0+ version) and make sure the resolution of the displayer is

1024 x 768.

2.1 config computer IP

When config device defaults, the steps are as follows ( take windows

7 for example):

1. click <start> button at lower left corner of the screen to enter

start menu and choose <control panel>. Then click <network

status> and<taste icon>, double click <local connection > icon at

the same time. Local connection status window will come out as

photo.

2. click the < property > button to enter the local connection

3. choose internet protocol version 4(TCP/IPv4), click <property> button

to enter internet protocol(TCP/IP property)window. Input IP address

(choose any value in 192.168.100.1-192.168.100.99

and 192.168.100.101-192.168.100.254)
and subnet mask (255.255.255.0), click confirm button.

2.2 Check network

Check network between computer and OLT as below two steps:

1. click <start> button at lower left corner of the screen, choose

<run>,A dialog box appears as below:

2. Input ping 192.168.100.100 (use the IP address configured on

OLT before), then click enter key. If dialog box appear below
response, it means network is connected. Or please check

network connection.

2.3 Login EPON OLT

1. input OLT management IP in address bar with IE explore ( OLT IP

address 192.168.100.100 by default)

2. input user name and password at login interface ( OLT user name

and password are both admin by default), click< login>, then you will

enter OLT web management interface.

3 . WEB Configuration

3.1 Basic information

Web configuration of 4 PON mini OLT is divided into two

parts: menu bar and configuration area. Click menu item in

menu bar to enter corresponding configuration page, config

what you need at configuration area and check device status or

config information at the same time.

3.2 system information

Click system information at menu bar to check basic information

(item name, version etc) and run information (CPU and memory status).

3.3 PON global information

The PON global configuration part includes the configuration of the

corresponding relationship between PON ports and uplink ports, and

displays a list of ONU registration information under all PON ports. Can

query a specific ONU according to the MAC address and configure it, etc.

3.3.1 OLT mode setting

Switch mode: All 4 PON ports can communicate with 1 port of the uplink

Islotion mode: PON 1 port can only communicate with the GE1 port of

the uplink, and push inwards in turn,PON2 <-->GE2, PON3 <-->GE3,

PON4 <-->GE4.

3.3.2 ONU query

Query a specific ONU, you can query according to the MAC address of

the ONU, you can also query according to the description information of

the ONU, you can also query a specific offline ONU, etc.

Such as :

Then click the query button to get the results as shown in the figure

below:

3.4 PON port information

3.4.1 PON port management and configuration

Click PON port inform >PON3(can only manage online PON port), you

can check and configure ONU information, ONU registration information,

ONU capability set. PON port display and all registered ONU information
under the PON port display and query the specific ONU under this PON.

3.4.1.1 show pon information

 Optical Information:

3.4.1.2 PON port setting

This module includes P2P settings of ONU, ONU registration mode and

registration method, ONU port loopback enable configuration, etc.

3.4.1.2 Register ONU Query

According to the registered ONU MAC address under this PON port, you

can query this ONU and click the configure button to configure it.
Then click the query button to get the result .

And click Config butten to into onu management and configuration.

3.4.2 ONU management and configuration

This module includes ONU information and basic information display,

ONU Ethernet port configuration and related VLAN configuration and

Ethernet port VLAN display.

3.4.2.1 show onu information

As shown below, the red wire box is displayed.

This module contains Optical Information, Version Information,

Capability-Information, Catv Information.

3.4.2.2 ONU Basic information show and config

Click info button and into as blow

This module contains the basic information of this ONU, the onu position

description configuration and related configuration.

4.WEB updata software and config ipaddress

1. input OLT management IP in address bar with IE explore ( OLT IP

address 192.168.100.100:8080 dfault).

2. input user name and password at login interface(OLT user name is


admin and password is system by default),click < login>, then you will

enter OLT web updata software and config ipaddress interface.

As shown below:

Input usename : admin ,Password:system and click sign in to into as

shown below:
4.1 Firmware Upgrade

Then clinck Admin and Firmware Upgrade to into as shown belown:

Then click Choose file button to select fimeware upgrade file.

Then click Upgrade button to as shown blow


Then click OK button to upgrade firmware and wait a monmet to

upgrade success.

4.2 OLT IPaddress modify

Then click LAN and LAN Interface Settings to into as shown belown.
To set ipaddress and subnet mask ,then click Apply Changes botten to

modify .
