Brand Consistency.
It's safe to say that brand consistency is important for your business, but how important is it
really? Well, according to one study done in 2018, consistent branding across all channels
increases revenue by 23%. To ensure you aren't losing revenue, it is critical that your brand is
consistent wherever your audience comes across it. From your website to your social media,
all the way down to the ads you create, your audience needs to know that what they are
seeing is indeed from your business.

To help ensure that you are consistent in how you show up, I've compiled a checklist that
covers the main areas of brand consistency. Have this list with you as you go through your
videos, social media, and website to make sure you are showing up the same, everywhere
you go.

Getting Started.
First things first. Before you can focus on brand consistency, you have to make sure you
have brand elements to USE consistently. The main ones are colors, fonts, logos, and
messaging. Below you'll find a small breakdown of each. Once you have all four ready to go,
you can dive into the consistency checklist.

LOGOS COLORS
If you have a logo, be sure it shows up at Choose 2-3 colors and use them
least once on each platform. Your logo will consistently wherever you show up. You
become the mark that people identify you can use different shades and tints (darker
with. In order for them to be able to do this, and lighter versions) of these colors, BUT
they have to see it often. stick with these few so people can start to
recognize you.

MESSAGING
Use the same language, tone, and voice FONTS
across all of your platforms. This includes Choose 1-2 fonts and use them for all of
both spoken and written word. For your headings and body copy. Make sure

comma, use it everywhere. While this may fonts as they can be more difficult to read.
seem minor, these little consistencies are
what will pull together your branding and
ensure you're building rapport and trust
with your audience.

About Verdure Design Co.

My name is Hunter Myers and I'm the
Founding Creative Director at Verdure
Design Co. I work with women-owned
businesses to develop purposeful brands
that help them reach their goals and take
their businesses to the next level.

After working with a marketing agency for

three years, I grew to realize the
importance of branding and how the
wrong branding can significantly impact
the success of your business. I also came
to realize the economic disparities
between men and women-owned
businesses and how branding played a key
part in that.

When I left my agency job to start my own

branding and design studio, I knew I
wanted to help women business owners
show up professionally in their branding
so they can confidently compete in the
market. My mission with Verdure Design
Co. is to bridge the gender gap, one
business at a time.
