122 GENERAL

The overall dimensions and weight of the package shall be adapted to the intended transport mode. If
necessary, it may consist of several modules connectable on Block 67 sites.

For transport, the size of individual modules shall not exceed:

• L = 16,000 mm
• W = 10,000 mm
• H = 6,000 mm
• Weight = 80 mt

The equipment shall be installed and fastened to a metal framework which shall:

• Meet the service conditions imposed by the equipment, such as permissible deflection
• Enable handling operations, particularly during package loading and unloading, and protect the package
during handling and lifting operations
• Ensure the integrity of the assembly under the inertia loads generated by transportation
• Enable the assembly to be lifted for its installation at Block 67 sites.

The installation package shall be designed with due consideration of:

• Ease of construction and operation (sufficient space around the equipment, accessibility of instruments
and valves, positioning of operating handles, etc.)
• Ease of maintenance (ease of erection and dismantling, clearance required, handling systems and
means)
• Safety instructions and any future equipment additions (if mentioned on the P&IDs).

The overall dimensions of the skid shall as much as possible not be less than the overall dimensions of the
package i.e. no items of equipment shall overhang the edge of the skid without Company approval. Supplier
shall revert to Company if the overall dimensions specified for the skid are such that enough clearance for
maintenance and operation work cannot be fulfilled.

Control valves, isolation valves, drain valves, vessel man ways, exchangers and pumps shall be accessible
from the confines of the skid or from the side. Local indicating instruments shall be located so that instrument
monitoring can be performed from the skid edge. All product and utility piping shall be brought to the skid
edge and shall stop at flanges. Similarly, all the cables shall be run along appropriate tracks to junction boxes
placed at the skid limit.

133 ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

All equipment shall be designed for the conditions defined in Equipment Design Condition 0[1].

15.2.45.2.4 Control valves

Control valves shall be provided in compliance with Specification for Control Valves 0[12][12][13] and Piraña
- CPF - Control Valvesindividual control valves data sheets [14].

15.2.55.2.5 On-off valves

On-off valves shall be provided in compliance with Specification for On/Off Valves Actuators and Local
Control Panels 0[13][13][15] and, Piraña - CPF - on/OFF-off Valves valves individual data sheets [16] and
Piraña - CPF - HIPPS on/off valves data sheets [17].

15.35.3 Layout

15.3.15.3.1 General

Passages and all open surfaces around the equipment shall be covered with gratings as follows:

• Electroforged, skid-proof corrugated or grooved

• The strips shall measure at least 25 x 5 mm and shall have a maximum spacing of 30 mm; they shall be
double-face, 100 μm galvanised according to ASTM A 123 [1][18][18][21].

All the grating penetrations (piping, cables, etc.) shall be bordered with a flat which acts as a foot guard.

If required on P&IDs, Aa drip pan with at least one drain point of 2” diameter minimum fitted with one isolation
valve shall be part of the base frame and routed to the skid edge. Design shall allow for a complete draining
of the drip pan. For ease of drainage, drip pan shall be slightly slopped.

All platforms, stairways, handrails, kick plates, and ladders used for equipment operation and maintenance
shall be designed according to the requirements of Ancillary Steel Structures - Typical Drawings 0[16][16][20]
and the skid layouts provided in the requisition.

All piping, electrical cables and instrumentation shall be suitably supported. The supports shall be installed
before painting to avoid repair.

Access areas on top of the skid base frame shall be covered with non-slip decking.

The detailed layout shall take into account:

• The requirement for pipe runs

• The requirement for permanent access to all valves and items requiring frequent observation (such as
level gauges)
• Operation and maintenance
• Access and craneage for items that require removal. These items shall be listed along with capacity and
type of lifting equipment required for their removal
• Provision for emergency escape route
• Cable work routings
• The need for cleaning of equipment
