THE CRESCENT BEANIE

NOTES

■ This hat is knit in the round, from the brim to the crown.

■ Knit into the front loop/leg of every yarn over and every reverse yarn over.

■ The yo and ryo adds an extra stitch to your project and creates lace-like holes.
Please note that the super bulky pattern uses regular yarn overs while the other yarn
weights use reverse yarn overs. The ryo creates a smaller hole. #dontsweattheholes

REVERSE YARN OVER (ryo)

1. Wrap your yarn clockwise 2. When you come to the ryo in

around your right needle, from the next round, knit into the front
the top to the bottom, and knit loop of ryo.
the next stitch.

FINISHING

Cut the yarn, leaving an 8” tail and thread through the yarn needle. Draw the needle
through the remaining stitches, then pull tightly to close the top of hat. Fasten off
and weave in all ends. Finish off with a pom pom of your choice.
