ADJECTIVE PHRASES Pick out the adjective phrases in the following sentences. Example : A man in black clothes ran out of the house. Adjective Phrases : in black clothes.

ADVERB PHRASES Pick out the adverb phrases in the following sentences. Example : John ran with great speed. Adverb Phrases : with great speed.

1. She answered the question in a very rude manner. 2. He does his work without care. 3. They are coming at this very moment. 4. Nothing can live on the moon. 5. Come into the room, John. 6. Honesty is written on his face.

ADVERB CLAUSES Underline the adverb clauses in the following sentences. Example : I want to see the invention as soon as it is finished. Adverb Clauses : as soon as it is finished.

1. Johnny was late for work because he missed the bus. 2. I closed the door because the room was cold. 3. Because I lost my umbrella, I got wet on the way home. 4. Joe didnt bring his book to class because he couldnt find it. 5. New artificial limbs require more battery power than old ones. 6. As soon as the wearer begins walking, the brace generates energy.

NOUN CLAUSES Underline the noun clauses in each sentences. Example : I dont know where Patty went last night. Noun Clauses : where Patty wnet last night.

1. Do you know where Joes parents live? 2. I know where Joe lives. 3. I dont believe what Estefan said. 4. Please tell me how far it is to the post office. 5. I dont know who knocked on the door 6. I wonder what happened at the party last night.
