I am a Practicing Cost Accountant and a Software Developer.

I have also worked as a permanent


employee with various manufacturing companies before start working as practitioner cost
accountant, with due respect, my Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Accounting Software is the

Costing Software (CO):

Standard costing Module


1. Production or sales plan. As many as production plan can be prepared and stored.

Based on production plan /sales plan I will provide the following reports/details:

ii. Process wise and product wise machine shift requirement
iii. Total process wise machine shifts available and Capacity utilization. Process-wise
balancing can be checked before the production plan is implemented.
iv. Product wise profitability shows- plan qty, sale price, RM price, RM cost, gross
contribution, net contribution, direct cost, indirect cost, total cost, profit or loss
etc., at a glance
v. Summarized profitability statement.
vi. Detailed cost sheet with printing option of a product showing process wise and
cost component wise conversion cost, technical parameter of the products, etc.
vii. How the BOM RM cost is arrived at.
viii. There will be separate cost Centre wise and cost components wise cost sheet in
absolute value, item wise RM sheet, Electricity requirement, labour requirement
etc. for each production plan.
ix. My software automatically calculates cost Centre wise and cost component wise
machine hour rate and cost basis for indirect costs. No one in India is providing
this feature in their software.
x. There will be no under or over absorption at all. This means that all
expenses/overhead considered for a particular plan will be FULLY absorbed and
can be cross verified by the user.
2. For each sales order, there can be separate production plan with all above details.

4. The generation time for all above the reports/ details will be just 4-5 minutes and There will be
minimum involvement of the company staff.

5. Product costing- Without based on production plan- A user can view or take print out of all
existing products and new products as and when required. There will be separate standard cost
sheet for standard product costing. I will show one example that how product costing is done for a
new product.

6. Product master for technical parameter- Along with other details it will cover technical parameters
of all process i.e. speed, productivity, cycle time, efficiency %, machine utilization %, process
wise and wastage wise in % Age, rejection % age etc.

7. BOM. Copy of BOM from an existing product to a new one. After copying, necessary changes can
be made. This will definitely save a lot of time.

8. Material Master- Apart from other details, an image can be stored and viewed any time of a
product. Copy of the product master from an existing product to a new one. After copying,
necessary changes can be made. This will definitely save a lot of time.

Actual costing Module


1. Separate month, cost Centre and cost head wise actual expenses sheet in absolute value.
2. Process wise and cost head wise auto calculation of actual machine hour rate.
3. There will be no under or over absorption at all. This means that all expenses/overhead considered
for a particular month will be FULLY absorbed and can be cross verified by the user.
4. Month end Actual product costing.
5. Product wise actual profitability of all the products shows- sale qty, sale price, RM price, RM cost,
gross contribution, net contribution, direct cost, indirect cost, total cost, profit or loss etc., at a
glance.
6. Detailed process wise and cost head wise actual costing. Generally, no one can provide this detail.
7. Raw material item wise and SFG wise analysis showing Price, mix and quantity/usage variance.
8. System generated Cost Records (more than 25 sheets) for any given period in one go.
a. Shop floor- RM item wise and cost center wise stock statement shows opening, receipt
from store, outwards/consumption and closing in terms of quantity and value.

goods sold (COGS), packing cost, interest, Royalty/ commission & other indirect expenses
,Cost of Sale (COS) , total cost per unit , total margin and margin per unit.
i. Further breakup of each product of invoice which shows complete trail from backward to
start point.
